KATE & LEOPOLD: Meg Ryan (YOU'VE GOT MAIL) and Hugh Jackman (X-MEN) are paired as star-crossed lovers who discover passion and chivalry never go out of style! When a rip in time brings together a charming 19th century bachelor and a thoroughly 21st century woman, the potential for an old-fashioned modern romance ignites! Also starring Breckin Meyer (ROAD TRIP) and Live Schreiber (SCREAM 3). SERENDIPITY: Irresistible stars John Cusack (AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS, HIGH FIDELITY) and Katie Beckinsale (PEARL HARBOR, BROKEDOWN PALACE) are drawn together and take a chance on love in this critically acclaimed romantic comedy! In the course of one magical evening, Jonathan (Cusack) and Sara (Beckinsale) meet unexpectedly... then part without expectation when she decides they must let fate determine if they are meant to be together. Years later, they are both engaged to others but cannot give up the dream that - despite time, distance and the obstacles that conspire to keep them apart - they will one day meet again!

Kate & Leopold is another enjoyable film bringing the hero, Hugh Jackman, from the past into the future. The contrast of the past culture with the current makes for a great dynamic. Our family has to watch these two films at least annually since it first came out.
Serendipity is fun, but not as deep or entertaining as Kate & Leopold. But at the price and linked to K&L, it's worth having. Premise in this film is somewhat goofy, but John Cusak makes it work.
I was looking to purchase "Kate & Leopold" for the longest time, and waited so long, because I couldn't remember the name???
When finally, I did order, I found a double movie available to me, for about the same price, I was willing to pay.
My order arrived sooner than the time I allowed. (Which is a plus.)
And the second movie "Serendipity", was an excellent movie, just the kind my "99 year", young mother enjoys...and me too!
Thanks for the chance to express my gratitude. Irene
