If you have read Lottie's story you will want to read this story too.
It was nice too that Leora befriended Mrs. Rutherford and helped her to see how she was treating others. The thing that touched me most was how the towns people all forgave one another for their lack of friendship and understanding of each other.
And oh how wonderful that Theron took Leora to see her sister Lottie and her husband Sam, Theron's friend whom he grew up with. Such a wonderful story, thanks Kit.

Leora and her sister both had to become mail-order brides after the factory fire and in the hopes of being able to see each other again one day, they chose grooms in states that were adjoining. Leora’s sister went to Oregon and she went to California to be the wife of a pastor.
Pastor Theron Drake needed a wife, mostly because of the beliefs of his congregation that he could best do his job if he was married. He was ready to marry on his own volition. He wanted that connection with a wife, that companionship, opening up for love and children to come.
However, there were some, namely a group of women, who thought that he should marry a particular young lady. But there is no way that he would agree to that, nor did he do anything to cultivate any feelings of acceptance of that group of women’s desire.
Upon arrival and marriage, Leora’s duties as the preacher’s wife begin immediately. She is wrangled into helping on committees within the church and the community. Leora is busy adjusting to becoming a wife, helping her husband getting organized, and being pulled in so many different directions that she doesn’t know whether she is coming or going. On top of that, she has the town busybody/bully putting more pressure on her to either perform or fail.
You will fall in love with Leora and Theron's romance.
Of course there are the challenges throughout to their happy ever after
