Childhood: From the seventh floor of a 15 story apartment building in New York City to a girls' boarding school in the British Midlands to Washington University in St. Louis
Parenting: A difficult and then failed marriage lasting 24 years. 17 years homeschooling kids from my own and six other families, 7 amazing grown children (and so far, 3 grand-children)- single parented six of my own kids for a total of 12 years - some of that time I taught in the inner city schools of St. Louis- Masters in Teaching achieved at the same time at Webster University followed by seven years of writing web-content, business brochures, newsletters and grants. Part-time developmental vision therapist to make ends meet and ended up producing three very helpful books for homeschooling parents.
Empty Nesting: Shocked to find that I only need to buy one sweet potato for supper. Became executive director of the National Historic Landmark Bolduc House Museum. Subject matter expert on #18thcentury, #FrenchAmerica, #museuminterpretation; Nearly done with PhD in museum interpretation from the University of Leicester in England (think Richard III) and reverting to a writing/consulting/kingdom-of-God call to write what has been in my heart and my files since the early 1970s
