It is a great experience when you are reading a book and it feels as if you are reliving your own life story. Melly Belly character brought to the surface the same things and feelings that I myself try to keep hidden. I was drawn in from the first chapter and met every doubt, revelation, struggle, and growth with understanding and that "been there" attitude. - Reading by the Book

This was such a beautifully told story about self-worth and value. Melanie was super smart and witty but she just didn't see how beautiful she really was. This is one of the hardest lessons in life to learn. If you can't love yourself, can anyone else love you? Melissa Collins takes us on an amazing journey of love and self-discovery and throws in some steam to make this a fabulous book in the Love series! It tackles one of the biggest issues facing people as they grow into adults and learn who they really are and Melissa did it flawlessly! Amazing story. Amazing characters. Amazing love. - The Boyfriend Bookmark

This is, by far, the best book in the Love Series...I could not put this book down. I read it in two, not too long, sittings! I really wanted to pull an all-niter with this book, but my body wouldn't allow me to! I am pretty sure I dreamed about this book in-between starting it and finishing it! - Up All Night Book Addict

ARC Review

I was gifted this book for an honest pre-release review from the author. I would have to say that Melissa pulled me into being a huge fan of NA from when "Maddy Met Reid" hahahah..... Her books are like wine, the get better with time.

Although I did enjoy Bryan and the way he wooed and had his own struggles that he fought so hard to hide and overcome, Melanie sealed the deal for me. This was a true "American" love story with banter, struggle and hot sex but the closeness to the heroine came to many woman is what makes this a spectacular read. I give it a 5+ stars and a GREAT continuation to an AMAZING first two books.

I loved this book! After reading Let love in and let love stay I really wanted to have more of Melanie and Bryan's story. Melanie is such a likeable and relatable character. In this book she deals with insecurities that many women (including myself) have had. The relationship between Melanie and Bryan is very real. They both are imperfect people and have to work and fight for themselves and for each other. Just like Let love in and let love stay this book is beautifully written. Melissa is a wonderful storyteller and I can't wait to read the next novella and Momma's book.

4.5 stars!!! This is the 3rd book in the Love Series from Melissa Collins but it can be read as a standalone. This is Melanie and Bryan’s story and what a story it is. I am a huge fan of Reid and Maddy from Books 1 & 2 in the series but Bryan and Melanie stole my heart. Their story was full of self-doubt, guilt, longing, forgiveness and most of all love.

The characters in this story are relatable. Melanie puts on a brave front to hide her pain and loss but inside she is full of self-doubt. She’s not “supermodel” beautiful and therefore feels like she will never be enough for any guy. Why would anyone want to be with her?

Bryan is athletic, in shape, a computer whiz and absolutely swoonworthy. As I mentioned, I am a Reid fan but…whoa, Bryan has got such a huge heart, he’s sexy and smart, what’s not to like! But Bryan too faces his own struggles and when he needed Melanie the most she is not there.

The story includes flashbacks to the beginning of Bryan and Melanie’s relationship so you see just how patient and understanding Bryan was until he just couldn’t take any more.

Of course every relationship has its ups and downs. So as I traveled the roller coaster of emotion with Melanie and Bryan I was always pulling for their happy ever after. Sometimes you have to love something enough to let it go to see if is really worth the fight. But before you can truly be loved by another you must learn to love yourself.

“Maybe that’s just how things were supposed to be. We were meant to spend some time apart to figure things out, to pick up the pieces so that we could both be whole when we found each other again.

I was fortunate to be given an ARC for review. Melissa has a way of telling a story that grabs the reader right from the beginning and keeps you engaged to the end! Melanie and Brian are so great together but growing up is hard! I love this story and literally devoured this book once I started reading it!, all of Melissa's books are awesome! I highly recommend this!

I absolutely feel in love with Maddy and Reid in Let Love In and Let Love Stay and when I heard Melanie, Maddy's best friend was getting her own spin off I was so excited to get her story and Melissa Collins did not disappoint! Again she made me get all misty eyed and emotional and made me fall in love with her characters. I love that she writes real stories we can relate to and does not try to cover them with fluff. With what Melanie deals with is something every girl can relate to and can see themselves as her.

First off that prologue... OMGAWD.... Off the bat, that prologue grabs you and rips you to shreds! How can I move past that! gah.... Its emotional, its gut wrenching, and it will wreck you! I would have to check your pulse if it did not bring out something in you.

Then we get into the story of Melanie and Bryan. Melanie is not your normal heroine in a book. She's not that slim petite girl we always read about and loathe because really, how many of us are a size 2???!!! She's a girl with curves and is always self-conscious about it. She feels like she's not pretty enough or skinny enough and will always just be the funny fat friend compared to Maddy who has the all American girl next door looks. After Maddy and Reid find each other, Melanie struggles with life without Maddy always being by her side. She starts to go down a path of self-destruction and its heart breaking!

Bryan... Bryan... Bryan... I just loved him. He and Melanie met at college and she struggles with her feelings for him. Why would someone like Bryan fall for someone like her?? He sees her for who she is that she is beautiful no matter what she thinks of herself. She does some things that make me want to go through my kindle and choke slam her! gah...
