Editorial Reviews

It is no secret Melissa Collins is one of my all time favorite authors. I love the way she builds her stories and the way she approaches romances. Let Love Live is no different. It is a story of loss and of grief before being brave enough to try again. This story is m/m and I highly recommend it. - Carey Heywood, NYT and USA Today Bestselling Author

When I first met Dylan in the first books, I was drawn to his sadness. I was drawn to his story. I was drawn to his hurt. I was just drawn to him and want to read about him and his life. Man, this book was sooo amazing. - Angie at Twinsie Talk Book Blog

You'll *FEEL* so much, it's unreal! I can't help but use a cliché and say Melissa has an ability to paint a picture with words... Not just a 2D picture, but a 3D scene, a world that you can get lost in. The emotions are so deep, so raw. - Ashley at Reviewing Romance

Melissa worked me over and left me emotionally sated and an emotional wreck in the best way possible. I fell in love with Dylan and Conner. Their story from beginning to end left me breathless.  - Mayas at Reading by the Book

Oh my God! Wow! I can probably say I know at least 3, maybe 4 books that have made me cry. And this is one of them. If you have read Reid's story in this series then you know what happens to his brother Shane. You know what kind of household Reid and Shane grew up in. But this story you actually read about Shane and Dylan's love. The author, Melissa, brought every emotion into this book. Every pain, every sadness, every piece of anger that Shane felt, you felt. At times I wanted to reach into the book and tell him I will help him! When you end part 1 of the book it leads you to just a moment where you need to reflect. You need to think on how some people can be so cruel. You need a moment of silence to absorb knowing that what Shane went through, people are still going through it today.

As you continue to move into part 2 you meet Connor. Dylan pushes love away. You are dealt with What if's. You are dealt with the guilt. You are death with how the survivors are left to pick up the pieces after what Shane did. But Connor opened Dylan's heart again. It allowed Connor to live again. Most importantly, Connor allowed Dylan to love again.

You move to Part 3 of the book, and by that time I was a blubbering mess. When I ended the book, again I'm left speechless. I woke up the next day still thinking about the book. Thinking about Dylan. Thinking about Shane. Thinking about Connor. This was my first book M/M, but I feel this book was the best book out of the whole series. Truly remarkable. Get it today!

Fantastic book in the series. This book had drama , abuse, heartbreak and lots of love. I love how this series keeps everyone from the past books involved in the next book. Even thou this is a M/M story don't let that keep you from reading this book. It's done very nicely and the characters are finding their way to love each other. The sex is hot and not too raunchy to offend new m/m readers. Very nicely done. I loved every page.

It is hard for me to write a review of this book because in truth it isn't very often I read a story that makes me feel so much. I actually found myself having to put down my kindle quite a few times in order to take a breather and wipe my tears. I full on cried while reading it. I didn't read the other books in the series, in all honesty I just stumbled upon this book and thought it sounded good so I gave it a shot, maybe I would've been better prepared if I had read the others (however I don't think it's necessary to get the full impact of the story).

While this is a love story about Dylan and Conner it's also about the love story of Dylan and Shane which we need to see to truly understand Dylan. It's a story of discovery, discovering who you are, discovering love, strength and ultimately happiness. It's a story of unimaginable loss and guilt and how fragile life can be. But most of all to me this was a story of finding peace and that second chance to love and be loved.

It doesn't matter if you're a fan of M/M romance or not, I still recommend this book. It's a breathtakingly beautiful story and one I think anyone would love.

I read this book as a standalone.

This is my first book from Ms. Collins. When Let Love Live started showing up on my Facebook feed, I knew I had to read it as soon as it was available.

The incredible emotions that Dylan feels about himself and his best friend have the reader on the edge of their seat. The support he gives to Shane and Reid in the beginning made the rest of the story so much deeper for me. I loved reading how unwavering Dylan was to their situation and how much he cared for both of them deeply.

This book is a travel though Dylan’s life before, during and after a horrible catastrophe happens. He retreats into himself and feels unworthy. Blocking everyone out of his life is the way he copes. Then Conner Michelson enters his life and everything changes.

Gritty, raw and emotionally satisfying, I LOVED this book. It was an incredible read. It really brought major life issues to the forefront and tackled them gently and effectively.

Sexy m/m sex scenes, a great story line and a terrific ending, has me giving this book 5 stars.

If you haven’t experienced Melissa Collins, I encourage you to do so. This is book 5 in her Love series. Come and enjoy her characters, writing and exceptional style. It was so worth the wait.

This was the first book I have read by Melissa Collins and I can tell you it will not be the last. I love her writing style and the way she makes you feel every emotion the characters in the book are feeling. I have actually owned this book since July of 2014 but never read it because I heard it was very emotional. That was an understatement. This book was brutal in the emotions department, I mean you will need a box of tissue if not two when reading this. The book was broke up into two parts and it really seemed like two novels in one. The first part was about Dylan growing up and his relationship with Shane and Reid his two best friends, this part will require one full box of tissue. You feel every emotion possible and you won’t want to read on because you are afraid of what will happen in the next part. The second part is in present time with Dylan and how he deals with his past and how he has to decide if he wants to move on and if he even can move on. In comes Conner, ex MMA fighter, now gym owner. Conner is instantly attracted to Dylan, just as Dylan is to Conner. Conner has goals and he is busy crossing them off his list as he accomplishes them. Conner has seen his fair share of tragedy, not in the same way as Dylan but tragedy just the same. Conner wants Dylan and he is willing to fight for him and make Dylan see that he can live and he can love. This half of the book will make you laugh, cry and root for Conner and Dylan and hope they get their happily ever after. When Conner springs the three date rule on Dylan I died laughing, but it worked….boy did it work. I loved this book and I regret that it took me so long to read it, it was worth the tissue, the emotions I went through while reading it. This book will stay with me and I highly recommend it.Read more ›
