Claire is like all of us: she has issues that affect her life and relationships. She’s got trust issues, and doesn’t always see them as detrimental. But, relationships are something that she does and doesn’t want in equal measures, and prefers to think in terms of Mr. Right ForNow, instead of forever.
JT is the last person that a girl with trust issues should be involved with. A bad boy with his own trust issues and a real fear of trusting or relying on anyone, JT’s sexy swagger and Claire’s own inability to resist a challenge makes him irresistible.
But there is one other man who makes more sense for Claire, even if he doesn’t present a challenge: Kurt, the IT guy at the office is sweet, considerate and has a crush on Claire that anyone can see. She’s not thinking relationship: Kurt makes perfect sense for that, but she doesn’t see a place in her life with him.
Told with insets of JT’s and Claire’s point of view, we see the two struggle with their issues, their concerns and even their own inadequacies. When they decide to spice up their life by including Kurt, the interactions feel honest and real which gives readers a real sense of the potential pitfalls and questions in a less-traditional relationship dynamic. I so wanted more of Kurt’s story, where we see the dynamic and his own struggles in dealing with a new and different sexual dynamic and the feelings that result.
And have no questions: this book details relationships and all of the silly, stupid and ultimately brutally honest issues that crop up: whether there are two or twelve people involved. Claire, JT and Kurt are living and breathing beings, which feel as if they could be your neighbor or friend, and these characters help to increase the enjoyment and satisfaction from the well-written and unique naked interactions between them. Knee-shaking, steam up your eyeballs interactions will have you wanting to experiment or imagine yourself in the middle with choices to make.
I’ve read and enjoyed the Twisted Mosaic series, but for pure heart and fuel for the imagination this book is my favorite. So much so that I bought my copy and suggest you do too!
I purchased a copy of the title for my own library. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
JT might have some trust issues but he's got that bad boy swagger and sexy air about him that women love. He obviously likes to take chances and that's ok if he's only taking chances with his own life, career ect. But when he's pushing Claire into doing something that could potentially get her into trouble or even fired, I liked him a lot less.
Kurt the IT guy has a secret crush on Claire and even makes it a point to be the one who fixes her computer, printer or whatever when she has a problem just so he can be close to her. I found it so cute that he would go to such lengths just to be around her.
There's a mystery as to who is setting fires and while JT is trying to figure that out, things heat up in the bedroom. I loved how JT didn't get jealous when he found out that Kurt had the hots for Claire and instead does something I wasn't expecting but loved and found the whole idea quite exciting.
Want to know what happens? You'll just have to read the book! I am very happy to have jumped on this book when it was free on Amazon.
I loved getting to read about Adam and Will's interaction in the story. Love this story!
