Overall, I think the book helps us to think creatively - the puzzles and clues are akin to telling us parts of a crime novel or a mystery movie and asking us to come up with the rest of the story.Read more ›
Disappointingly for long-time fans is that, in the past couple of years, their lateral puzzle books
seem to be recycling material previously in older volumes.
This book is a reprint from multiple old titles - if, like me, you own older volumes, avoid
repeating your purchase.
For newcomers: 5 stars.
Lateral puzzles are situational problems that makes the reader guess the feasible explanation to the scenario in question. An example, also shown on the back cover:
A man waved a cloth and another man died. Why?
Answer: The man who died was shot in a duel. The man who waved the cloth gave the signal that
the two duelists could commence.
