Annie beautifully weaves together a collection of little stories from her life and the lives of others along with stories from the Bible in Let’s All Be Brave to encourage and embolden us readers to do the same: be brave. This book felt like a big warm hug — some books with a call to action can leave you feeling sweaty and nervous — but for me, it felt like Annie was reaching out of the pages, putting her arm around me, and saying “just be brave” in what I imagine is a sweet southern accent along with a comforting smile and slightly mischievous eyes.
You’ll feel like you’re catching up with a lifelong friend as you make your way through the pages of her book. Everything comes back to the main concept: be brave. I love this thought she shares — it is a great call to action, source of comfort, and pseudo-life mission: “You are one of a kind, made on purpose, deeply loved, and called to be courageous.” Young or old, I think all women will love this book!

Annie writes like she lives--authentically and openly. She's like that friend, that good friend you have who will really tell you like it is. She won't make it hard to hear because she knows what she's saying is challenging, but she finds a way to say it through her own stories so that you realize you can do what she did and find the way God's whispering to you to be brave.
If you read this book, you'll be encouraged to take steps toward a dream you may have buried and left for dead. You'll consider the better side of the pain of letting go of something, even when you don't know what the next thing will be that your hands will hold. You'll enjoy laughing out loud while reading a book, because Annie is funny!
And you'll feel like you're not alone in the world, and that you can do for others what Annie has done for you--take someone's hand and say, "Let's All Be Brave." Thanks, Annie, for taking my hand. I'll meet you for coffee anytime you're in town.
