About the Author
Camilla is an engineer turned writer after she quit her job to follow her husband in an adventure abroad. She’s a cat lover, coffee addict, and shoe hoarder. Besides writing, she loves reading—duh!—cooking, watching bad TV, and going to the movies—popcorn, please. She’s a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. A keen traveler, Camilla knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and she doesn’t want to starve all those frog princes out there, but she could really live without them.

I expected best friends become lovers story by the way, and we all know I adore those. This has it's own twist on it. Be prepared to be confused and shocked and happy.
Oh and for my dear reading buddies ( you know who you are)-a warning: there is NO smut. Another surprise considering that most novels of this kind would have had the same story line and all, but filled the extra hundred pages with plenty of smut and would be sold as a full length novel. But honestly I didn't miss it one bit *smirks*
Isley did a brilliant job at having me confused as to what to think of Tyler. I adored him at the beginning. And then well, not so much...Actually that is an understatement. I really didn't like him.
Then at the end, I came back to liking him.
I felt the same for nearly every character. Meaning I kept changing my mind as to what I thought of them.
But not only did Isley get her way with me regarding the characters, same can be said about the story line.
If you would have told me half way through what the end was and that I would have loved it- I would have been beyond surprised. But somehow Isley got me there as well.
I do think this is due to the well crafted and well written story.
The character building is well done for such a short novel, it's well written and the plot is surprising.
It's simply a little different from what I expected but in a good way.
Definitely going to read more of Isley's works!
When Rose and Tyler get into an emotional argument they take their friendship to the next level. Now is the time that choices have to be made. Will Rose be able to forget how Tyler treated all of his other girlfriends and trust that he will treat her right? Is Tyler finally done with meaningless relationships, so he can spend the rest of his life with his best and oldest friend?
Rose is smart girl and comes from a good family. She is attending Harvard Law School and hopes to become a criminal defense lawyer. Ever since she was a young girl Rose's father has been reading criminal cases to her instead of fairytales, which she enjoyed very much. Rose has a very strong bond with her father, but hides that she comes from a wealthy family. When Rose meets Ethan she finds him very attractive. Rose and Ethan become closer during the six months that Tyler is in Paris. Rose deserves to find the right kind of love and not settle for anything less. She is a bit naïve at times, but I really liked the way her mind works and that she can make connections really fast. Rose is also very kind to others even when they don't always deserve it.
Let's Just Be Friends is an enjoyable and fast read. All of the characters are really believable. While reading this book it made me reminisce about the past and I'm sure this will be the case for many of you out there when you're reading this book. Camilla Isley never disappoints with her light-hearted romantic novels. She is an experienced and skillful writer and has written another brilliant story that I highly recommend.
