This little book is exactly the encouragement that I needed. I currently work out with a personal trainer, work out hard, and have lost some weight(while gaining muscle) and need to go further. All the weight loss and/or diet books out there seem to have been written by "celebrities," or doctors, or nutritionists, all talking about some complicated and "difficult to stick to" weight loss plan with hundreds of recipes etc. That is not what I need.
This book, "Let's Get Trim," written by an ordinary, working person like me, simply tells how she did it, what worked for her, what to watch out for. I needed just a few common sense "rules," and confirmation that good old fashioned calorie watching is the main ingredient. Just as my doctor has told me over the years, "everything in moderation." The woman who wrote this book declares that she is "not a writer," just someone who wanted to share her experiences and encourage others to try as well. Thank you, Jan Peters, for sharing your experiences. I will turn to this book often, especially when I feel as though I want to "give up and give in." Knowing that an ordinary person like me is out there, and going through this, tells me that I can do this to! "Let's Get Trim" is a no nonsense book. No meal plans, no recipes, no exercise routines (though you do need to exercise.) It is simply a statement from one person sharing what worked for her, what her lifestyle continues to be, and encouragement for the reader to give it a try!

Just finished reading Jan Deuber Peter's ebook and IT IS FANTASTIC!! I laughed out loud several times ~ I could hear her speaking to me. Jan really gets inside every dieter's head and tells it like it is: the good, the bad, the ugly. Having been there, done that for a lifetime, Jan well knows what those of us in the same boat are thinking and doing in that harrowing game of weight loss. But, she offers some great winning strategies. Much of what Jan advocates in changing her mindset/lifestyle is what I've only learned recently - and it works. I too am down about 30 lbs with about 10 more to go. Now I am excited to add Jan's tips to my repertoire to get rid of that last, stubborn 10 lbs. This ebook is a great jumpstart to leading a better life. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be their best self. Thanks Jan for getting me back on track ~ with a laugh.
