The designs are colorful, but not childish, and the paper feels thick and heavy duty. The book comes with stickers so you can seal up each page once you're finished.
I really love the sweetness of this book, and I'm looking forward to opening up the letters with my son in 10 or 20 years so we can revisit the 9-year old him.
Purchased this for my 8 year old granddaughter. She LOVED it! She began reading the letters and immediately chose one to begin filling it out. I have asked her to finish the letters and return the book to me. On her high school graduation (or maybe college) I plan to give her the book back. It will be fun for her to see how her dreams have changed - or if they've all come true?!
Four stars instead of five because while the pages were all bound together, they weren't stuck the the hard cover/back. A little gorilla glue (because that just happened to be what I had on hand) has it looking perfect though.
