This one has a pre-printed index or table of contents
Still has the back pocket
It is actually two "dot columns" wider on each side for a total of one extra inch per spread which is sweet for BuJo addicts like me!
I don't notice a ton of difference in "bleed thru". Meaning neither had true bleed thru but you can see the ink somewhat once turning the page. It is very marginally less in this one. (Almost no difference)
The pages are numbered!
This also has 2 bookmarks sewn in and comes with labeling stickers for archival when you have exhausted the pages. Until then just keep them in the pocket! The pocket easily holds my protractor and another small ruler without making the journal feel bulky. Will purchase again!
** note- one of the pictures made me think you could tear out all pages along a perforation. You cannot. Only 8 of them in the back I believe.
The paper feels thicker than the LT917. Lemome has more of an off-white color while L1917 has a creamy color. The ivory pages, thick enough to handle a fine-point sharpie or quality gel-tipped pen, as well as regular ballpoints. I can use my darkest ink and there's nearly no bleed through, only minimal ghosting, and the stuff I'm used to seeing ghosting with, I see NOTHING. The paper is that thick! Also very smooth and wonderful to write on. I was worried, but have trust in this journal..... it's a classic, hardbound numbered dotted paper journal that's a staple for whatever you wish to write.
I strongly recommend that you try to use a thicker paper bujo instead of LT1917 thin paper and you will not regret it!
By the way, they gave me a lot of other little gifts. As it showed in the pictures, it’s not important to me, but my son liked them very much.
The structure of the book is very similar to the Moleskine notebooks. The pages of this book are about 3/4 inch wider than the comparably sized Moleskine. The paper used the the pages is very smooth and quite thin. There are 249 numbered pages and the Leuchtturm notebook, including covers, is only 0.8 inches thick. The paper feels strong.
Even though the pages are thin, I don't see a lot of the images on the page beneath. I have only been drawing on one side of the pages, but both only because it is my preference, not a necessity. I've used gels and felt-tip pens and have not had any trouble with the inks bleeding through.
The dots on the pages are easily visible, but don't detract from the sketches because the dots are tiny. I'm not sure if the dots are black or dark grey because they are too small for me to tell for certain.
There are two ribbons for marking locations in the book. The Table of Contents at the front of the book is also available and each page is numbered in the lower, outer corner of the page. An elastic band is anchored to the back cover and easily stretches around the front to secure the pages closes.
I've found that I enjoy using these pages for other drawings besides just the graphic shapes. Pens flow smoothly across the surface, but the paper takes pencil as well.
This red colored notebook shipped from the U.K. so it took almost two weeks to get to me. It might be something to keep in mind if needed quickly. I believe some of the other colors were available more quickly. For me, it was worth the wait. I'll just need to plan ahead as this book is filled.
Update 6/22/2016: Added scanned image from page. You can tell from the page number that I labelled this up side down. The scan shows the dots and how fine they are.
Outside of this, the notebook is great, I use a fine point Sharpie pen as my writing instrument of choice and although you can see writing through the opposite side of the page, it doesn't bleed through.
Everything else about this notebook I love, but the fact that the binding came loose, I can't give it higher than 3 stars. I'll post pictures.
Update : 16 Feb 2014.
I felt compelled to update this review and add another star because I absolutely love this notebook! Although the binding did come apart at first, it has held up like a champ after a few months of solid use. I abuse notebooks, they are not hipster accessories to me. I will not go back to Moleskines, I see no reason to. I underestimated how much I appreciate the dots even, they provide guidance so that my notes are not all over place, but are not in the way as to be distracting. Very happy with this notebook!

Being hypercritical... I would give this 5 stars but I am a little disappointed in that several pens I would not expect to "ghost", do...Read more
