Proprietary gas blend and seals are tested by us to a 33-foot depth and a multitude of pressure changes.
Every Leupold riflescope is designed to survive a minimum of 5,000 impacts on the Punisher, Leupold’s recoil simulation machine. The force of each impact is 3x the recoil of a .308 rifle.
All Leupold riflescopes are tested by us to perform from -40ºF to 160ºF.

*Extremely clear glass out to the very edge of the lens - no distoration. In addition, this offers a very high level of contrast and color, especially as darkness approaches or on cloudy days. Here is the best way to validate this observation - this is mounted on a 20 inch AR and I typically shoot .223 50 grain varmint rounds. At 300 yards I can clearly see my hits on splatter targets. Prior to this I had 6x24-56 Chinese made scope and I could barely see the hits even with the higher magnification.
*Impact 29 MOA reticle, Second Focal Plane with matching MOA turrets. Glass Etched Reticle is extremely crisp, 2 MOA increments with every four MOA’s numbered and easy to read. I use this for ranging targets such as coyotes and having every fourth MOA numbered makes this very easy. Also - let me put to rest the issue of ranging with a Second Focal Plane Reticle. At 300 yards a 24 inch target will take up 7.6 MOA at maximum magnification of the scope (20x). However, if you set the magnification at 1/2 of maximum (10x), your target will now take up 3.8 MOA.
*MOA Turrets - easy to turn, loud clicks, easy to see numbers and zero stop. While I use the reticle for ranging, I turn the elevation turret to adjust for bullet drop. Couldn’t be any easier.
*Extremely light weight for 6.5x20 which I use for coyote hunting. No problem hiking all day with this on and as far as the minimum 6.5 magnification, I set up my coyote hunts in open fields with my electronic caller 50 to 100 yards away. I would love to have a Leupold Vx-6 4x24, but this is more than double the price. If I am hunting other varmints in the woods all of my scopes are on quick disconnects, so I switch to a 3-9 which is sill far less than the cost of a single Vx-6. Important note: If you are looking at the competition, please check out the weights of the scopes. This is about 10 to 12 ounces lighter than the competition.
Summary - this is an incredible value for the features, performance, weight and price. I strongly recommend and would purchase again.
