Full-size binoculars can be too large for many people, especially younger users. Leupold® BX-1 Yosemite® binoculars not only fit smaller hands, but also adjust to fit the smaller interpupillary distance (the distance between the eyes) of smaller users something most full-size optics can't do. With both 6x and 8x models available, everyone from the youthful user to experienced adults can enjoy the optical performance that serious users demand. Protected by the Leupold Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Update: I've had these for over year now and the one problem I have is that there are eye relief pieces that turn and lock in place. These have worn out and I have to physically hold them out to maintain a good sight picture.
Great adjustable magnification.
Could pick out deer in thick brush at 400 yards.
No issues with weight- plenty light and compact for hiking.
Negative: The caps/ lens covers that come with it are cheap.
I did some research, and couldn't find anything better in the $100 range.
The other day I went down to the local Bald Eagle nest with my brand new very highly rated Zeiss binoculars and since the Leupold's were in the car I took them too. The comparison made me realize the value of these binoculars. They cost about 1/10 of what the much more expensive binoculars but held up very well in image quality. I could see almost all the detail with the Leupolds as with the zeiss (they have the same magnification), but these binoculars were not as bright as the Zeiss and had a bit less contrast. I think the Zeiss had a slightly warmer overall color balance than the Leupold and shadow detail was a bit easier to see.
Clearly my little Yosemite binoculars were not as good as the much more expensive Zeiss binoculars, but for $100 they are remarkable. There are a lot of inexpensive binoculars on the market most have mediocre optical performance. The Leupold Yosemite binoculars can be held to a higher standard.
