This jacket is a women's style so it has a slimmer fit. I ordered the Belle Blue color and I absolutely LOVE it! I like the medium-dark blue colors best for jeans and this one is perfect for me. It has a collar, two chest pockets that close with buttons, two open pockets that are fairly deep (these don't close at all), buttons down the front, one button on each wrist, and buttons on the waistband at the back to adjust the size. There is the classic "red tab" on the left breast pocket. This particular color is made in Sri Lanka of 99% cotton and 1% elastane. Washing instructions say to machine wash cold and tumble dry medium.
For size reference, I am 5'6", 165 pounds, have a 36D chest and I'm still carrying some weight from my twin pregnancy. I bought the large. I typically wear a medium or large in shirts and wanted the bigger size so I can comfortably wear it over tank tops and camis. Overall, I like the fit and find it very comfortable. I don't have particularly broad shoulders and this jacket fits perfectly. It sits right at my hips and it's a good length since I have colorful shirts to wear underneath. I can easily button it in the chest area but the stomach area is pretty snug. This doesn't bother me since I plan to wear it unbuttoned all the time anyway. If I wanted to be able to button it, I definitely would've wanted the extra large size. I think this jacket washes up nicely too. I washed it by itself the first time in case it bled dye (I don't think it did) and hung it up to dry. It was stiff when I first put it on but softened up pretty quickly.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and feel the Levi's quality is just as good as I remember. It fits me just how I want which is great since buying clothes online can be difficult to gauge the size. If you are about my size, want to wear it over tank tops and camis, and plan to wear it unbuttoned, I'd go with the large. If you are about my size and want to be able to button it, I'd go with the extra large so it's a bit more comfortable. I love that denim jackets are still in style just like they were when I was a kid! This jacket has already been worn a few times and is going to get worn so much, I may have to purchase another one!
I'm not a big girl, (5'-2", 155lb - athletic but pear-shaped) but my shoulders are a little broad. I typically wind up wearing a women's Large in jackets, and the women's Large fits on the fitted side. The length of the jacket hits me at the top of the hip; it's not cropped, but it's certainly not at all over-sized. It's a flattering fit. The sleeves are long-ish, or my arms are shortish. I unbuttoned the cuffs and folded them up once and it's got that great easy casual look.
