Stay Comfortable on the Road
We all know how uncomfortable it can be to try to relax or even sleep in a cramped airplane seat: your head nods off to the side or your seatmate won’t turn off his overhead light. While we can’t change your fellow passengers’ habits, we can create a comfortable flight or road trip for you.
Available in a multitude of designs and colors, the Lewis N. Clark comfort collection provides travel pillows, sleep masks, ear plugs, blankets, motion relief bands, compression socks, and everything you need to stay comfortable on the road.
Lewis N. Clark Comfort Collection
Just a few of our items include our comfort eye mask that conforms to your face’s contours to block out all light, our memory foam neck pillow that uses your body heat to create a customized fit, and our adjustable neck pillow that inflates with just two breaths.
Additionally, our motion relief bands and ear plugs relieve the pressure related to altitude changes. Our microfleece blanket not only keeps you warm but can also be attached to luggage handles for easy transport. Our flight compression socks help prevent tired and swollen legs on long journeys.
With options to keep you warm or cool, help you to sleep, stay comfortable, reduce pressure, and relieve motion discomfort, our comfort collection is ideal for flights, car rides, and the everyday.
Whether you’re staying at a hotel or in your own bedroom, these will provide lasting comfort so that you can arrive refreshed at your destination, or wake up raring for the day.
The Lewis N. Clark Comfort Eye Mask provides seamless comfort whether you’re traveling or at home. Consisting of 15D rip-stop nylon, this lightweight, breathable fabric ensures that you don’t overheat while you’re trying to sleep. With its soft cotton padding, your eyes won’t feel any pressure either.
The elastic strap adjusts from 15.8in to 27.6in, making it easy to customize according to your preferences, and can be worn by women and men. Additionally, this mask utilizes a buckle, not Velcro, so you won’t get your hair tangled in it.
While you can wear it as tightly or as loosely as you’d like, it will provide total darkness so you won’t be disturbed by light whether you’re on an airplane, at a hotel, or in your own bed. The soft ridge at the bottom provides extra protection against any light that might leak through. It can even be used to help with issues relating to irregular sleeping schedules, such as shift work, or for creating an ideal meditation space.
With its superior ability to block light, you can’t find a better value for your money with this pillowy soft eye mask. Don’t lose another night of sleep!

Now, instead of nice soft material on both sides, the side facing away from your face is covered in something like umbrella material. Poly-something, no doubt. It's NOISY. It crinkles constantly, as you try to move your head. Beyond that, for reasons I don't understand--perhaps that material, again--now the sleep mask is STIFF, and it doesn't conform to your face. Turn your head on the pillow, and the mask lifts up away from your face, as you're basically trying to force this STIFFIE (yeah, I went there) to bend.
There's also this little loopy thing hanging off the side, that rubs up against your head. No idea what that's for.
So, what IS the use of the umbrella material? I guess, if your roof caves in, in the midst of a deluge, you're saved--your eyes won't get wet. Or, if you're sleeping in the car with your moonroof open. Bonus, right?
In short, this mask is perfect, if you don't mind that it sounds like crinkly vinyl every time you breath or move your head, that it doesn't fit on your face, that it doesn't BEND, that when you turn to sleep on your side, the mask doesn't go with, and that the little loopy thing rubs up against your head. Just PERFECT.
Urgh. I hate it when a perfectly good product is ruined by some idiot "improving" it. This ain't improving, folks. On a bright note, if you have a gerbil, or hamster, you could give it to them as a featherbed, perhaps.
Update 1/6/14... I have uploaded a picture to my profile to show what side that goes against eyes looks like. I still love this product and will buy more in future, whether for myself or as gifts.
1. The bands on these masks do NOT stretch out at all (tested for over 1 year, and the bands are still like new), and are adjustable.
2. The masks are thick and have a nice "lip" under the eyes that truly prevents light from getting in.
3. VERY comfortable.
1. The only real con is that these masks get dirty (they pick up fuzz easily; see picture below). Washing them works, but they just get dirty again basically instantly. Not a deal-breaker for us by any means, though.
While a little pricier than some of the other eye masks, in my opinion it's still a better value (given how long they last). I won't buy any other eye masks as long as these are available.
BLUE: the blue dye on this mask will stain everything it comes into contact with. My pillow cases and my sheets have blue-ish purple blobs all over them, and it took ages to figure out what was causing them. For awhile, I actually considered it was me - that I was drooling purple! Worst part was realizing I'd stained the beds at hotels and friends' houses. Ug. I've since switched back to black, and have had no more problems. The blue mask is definitely the culprit.
GRAY: I liked the look of this one, but gray doesn't block the light as well as the darker colors. When I wear this mask, I definitely know when it's morning - and that defeats the purpose of wearing it in the first place. I'm trying to sleep in! It's just as comfortable as I expect a Lewis N. Clark mask to be, but it serves as more of a "dimmer" than a total blackout mask.
BLACK: This one's the best. I can sleep at high noon with this mask on. It blacks out EVERYTHING.
The material is soft and comfortable. I had no issues with bleeding color or any odor. I am very sensitive to smells and I can tell immediately when a product has been chemically saturated. Mine did not have any smell. It was easy to wash and dry.
I wish there were a little more room in the eye area so I could blink without feeling the mask, but then other masks I've tried have had "cupped" eye areas and were more firm and uncomfortable than this one.
You will need to adjust the elastic band to get it "just right" in regards of blocking out as much light, fixing the elastic band so it's not too tight and not too loose. There is a little plastic buckle? the elastic goes through and I have to move it to a place where it does not press against my head depending on which way I am sleeping.
I am extremely sensitive and have insomnia problems, and am extremely sensitive, so please view my comments in that light. .
