Keep Your Luggage Secure – Even in the Airport
Did you know you can lock your luggage while you’re traveling through the airport? While the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) electronically scans bags, sometimes they also need to physically inspect a piece of luggage.
In these cases, the TSA logo on special locks alerts inspectors that they can unlock the luggage without cutting the lock or damaging the bag. Travel Sentry Approved Locks are designed specifically to keep your belongings secure while still allowing the TSA to open your luggage without destroying the locks during their screenings.
The Solution for Travelers
Featuring easy-to-set, resettable three-dial combinations, Lewis N. Clark locks infuse multiple benefits with sleek, compact style. Their durable construction withstands the wear and tear of travel and they provide a variety of ways to secure your personal items. In addition to the airport, they can be used at the gym, school, water park, hostel, and more.
Give yourself the peace of mind of knowing that thieves cannot easily get into your belongings and that the TSA can open the lock without damaging your belongings if necessary.
Travel Sentry Approved locks are designed specifically to keep your belongings secure while still allowing the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to open your luggage at the airport without destroying the lock during their screenings.
However, what makes this lock different from other Travel Sentry-approved locks is its double security. With this lock, you can secure your bags to fixed objects or secure multiple bags together.
For example, the 48in coated steel cable can be looped through the top handle of your luggage or bag to attach to a piece of existing furniture, such as a pole on a train or ferry, chair at an airport, desk at a hotel room, and much more. You can also use it to secure one bag to another, such as a backpack to a rolling suitcase, or even a purse to a beach pole.
As a lightweight and compact solution, this lock will provide you peace of mind knowing that thieves cannot easily steal your belongings whether you’re going on a vacation, business trip, or backpacking adventure.

I have used similar items throughout my travels and feel it is always good to have extra measures of security to prevent problems rather than trying to fix a problem after the fact.
This lock and cable were a great, lightweight way for my sister to make sure her belongings were secure wherever she went. She mostly used it in the hostel while she slept and on the trains in the overhead areas but did carry it around with her just in case she felt she needed it.
The cable is pretty thin but sturdy enough that I don't think I could break it by pulling on it. If I had a good knife or some pliers I'm confident that I could get through it fairly quickly.
I wouldn't recommend using the lock. I use a bit of a heavier duty lock on mine. I don't like the TSA access because anyone with a key can open it up with no problems. Plus it feels a bit weak.
Overall it works well for my applications.
On the other hand, we are just planning to use it once when traveling by train through Spain. We will latch it discreetly to the luggage area for our large suitcase and it should prevent the grab-and-go thief that is rumored to abound on trains. Would not withstand someone actually dedicated to stealing a certain bag. Would not be acceptable for securing a bike.
