The price is the main selling factor in this chair. It's comfortable, looks good and supports me as I sit at my desk which is really all I can ask from a chair. I wish it reclined just a bit more, but I'm glad it has both recline and a lock to stop the recline.

My only issue was that one of the bottom holes for the screws that attaches the base to the chair itself did not line up correctly. There was absolutely no way to line up the base to be able to screw in all four screws. Luckily the 3 screws are quite strong and sturdy and the chair is still very stable even without that one screw.

All in all, it's a great chair for the price. I would not pay anywhere near the list price.

Update 7/27/14: So I've had the chair for a year now and it's stood up to near constant usage of myself and two tween boys. However, one of the arms of the chair has broken off. I will mostly lay the blame for that on the two durned children, but just know that under EXTREME circumstances (i.e. children) your mileage my vary on the build quality. It's still a great chair though.

Son took it to college. The armrests broke after two months of usage. We had this chair unopened until he left and he said the arms are made of some sort of cheap plastic. Although we got this thing pretty cheap, it should stand up to daily use.

Desired features, in order of importance, were:

(1) Price - Gold Box was less than $60. Even the current $69 is still a bargain.
(2) Breathability - Cloth seat and mesh back are ideal. Plastic arms and vinyl headrest are practical.
(3) Comfort - Decent back support and adjustable height make for a very comfortable chair.

The chair was well-packed and arrived with EXACTLY the stated parts. It was a little tricky aligning the bolts for the bracket under the seat cushion, but the rest of the assembly went smoothly. While this chair perfectly suits its intended use, I would agree with other reviewers that the ability to recline would be a plus.

The chair is very comfortable and very easy to assemble. Despite wishing it had more features, i would still give it 5 stars considering how much this chair is.

Update late June 2013 - I contacted the manufacturer again to get the missing parts and this time I received them. That was the good news. But after using the chair for less than a month, one of the casters(? or is it a wheel?) broke off the chair. Yeesh!!! And I gave away my old chair thinking this one would be a superior replacement. WRONG! I think this is a classic case of "you get what you pay for". I was lured into purchasing this chair by the price, but, I am disappointed with this product. I was really hoping it would work out for me but now I'm wishing I had my old, beat up chair.

I could not assemble this chair since there are missing screws and washers. And there does not seem to be a way to contact Amazon or manufacturer to get the missing parts. I am hoping that I don't have to repack and return the entire chair vs just getting a small package containing the missing parts.

The chair itself seems a touch unstable, but all in all the main body of the chair is great. However the arm-rests are low and broke after two and a half hours. For 40 dollars it's not bad, but I definitely wouldn't buy it at full price.

End of first day: Chair makes mysterious cracking noises periodically and the chair it's self it slightly off-center, leaning to the right side. It's irritating but could possibly be attributed to poor assembly on my part. However the cracking noises, easily broken arm-rests and thin seat padding make it considerably annoying. It's better than my previous chair, but I wouldn't buy the previous chair again either. The short version is I will not be buying this chair again.

After a few months the wheel is breaking off, the other arm-rest broke off, the back is bent, the whole rig is shakey. Wouldn't buy again.

Final Update (May 13th): Casters broke off one at a time, about a day apart. Replaced them with another chair's casters, only to have the seat break when the back of it finally gave out and ripped it apart.

The 2 black plastic discs that go on the post, above the legs, were cracked.
Would've taken too much time & trouble to return the chair, when all I would've needed were the two plastic discs.

Wish it reclined more.

I like to lean back in my computer chair, and I mean hard. I spend a lot of time in it and when I see something I don't like on my screen I lean back hard as a sign of (mentally) discomfort. I did that for a week, as apparently it was a hard week but it effectively broke because the base that holds the back of the chair to the seat is made of wood with screws. Would be fine if it wasn't basically balsa wood. Broke easier than a board in karate class for 6 year olds. Tried it because it was light and on sale. Get something heavy, durable and never look back.
