Performance and price are not proportional when it comes to selecting a microSD card. Some of the worst performing cards in this review also happen to be the most expensive.
Not all 633x cards are created equal. The two cards reviewed from Lexar and Transcend are both marked as 633x but vary in performance greatly.
4k video recording using action cams and drone cameras have a typical bitrate of 60mbps or 100mbps, corresponding to 7.5MB/s to 12.5MB/s. All cards in this review should theoretically be able to handle this usage easily.
Using microsd card as supplemental phone storage potentially could benefit from a faster card,
Best Looking Card (if it matters):

Lexar 1000x: White/Gold with Black/White print
Samsung Pro+: White/Black with a red stripe and Black/White print
PNY Turbo: Lime Green/Black with Black/White print
Update 9/14/2015: Added additional cards to the list.
Industry standard Class 10 microSD for GoPro. Even GoPro tell you to use it. I've been using this now for over a month and it's performance is 100% solid. No issues at all. Great price (Black Fri 2015) so keep an eye when they go on sale. And 64gb I never have to worry about when I run out of time for recording footage on my GoPro Hero 4 silver unit. Awesome.
I plugged the card reader in a USB 2.0 port and transferred 17.2GB of data to it. The transfer rate is about 1GB maybe a little more being the transfer rate averaged 19MB per second.
The package only had the Micro SDHC card and the card reader. No Extender to make it a full size card. That is OK with me being I have other full size adaptors. I will also say that the end that you pull it out of an adaptor doesn't stick up much so is hard to get ahold of. So I'm taking off one star based on no adaptor and hard to pull out of an adaptor as well.
Updated a week later after getting an USB PCI-E 3.0 card for me computer. Plugged the USB micro reader into an USB 3.0 port. Tried copying 17.5GB over to it. The card isn't much faster on an USB 3.0 port then it was on a USB 2.0 port. I got about 27MB/s one time. I would have expected at least 38MB. So that is only 8MBS over the USB 2.0.
In both cases the files whir all MP3 type books. So there was a lot of files. To me this is more of a world test to see how fast the card is. All the other times it would only work at about 17MB/20MB. Took off another star because of that. After a few more days, the card reader became unuseable. Remove another star because that that. I sent the card back. At this point, I wouldn't suggest anyone get this card. The card doesn't work well as far as write speed.
Now in saying the above, I will say the read speed is very good. I was able to read from the card copying 17.6GB about 3106 files and 198 folders back to my card drive at about 79.xMB/S on a USB 3.0 port. On a USB 2.0 port at got about 24MB/S. I picked up a Kingston 64GB UHS-I class 3 card and the write speed is about 39MB/S. Much more of what I think it should be with the above test. Price was about the same.
How can I complain about the price ($119 today) when I paid over $32 for the 32gb micro sd when it debuted, and around $64 for the 64gb micro sd cards when they appeared? The price on this card is fine :)
Worth the money if you value transfer times!
