Liar, Liar is a 20 page manifesto in which the author shares about the power of words. The words that we speak, as well as the words that we think have the ability to either hurt or help us. It all depends on what we believe.

Sundi Jo grew up, as so many of us do, hearing and embracing a lot of lies. Those lies shaped her life and led to destructive behaviors which brought pain to herself and others. Her testimony is a powerful one. Definitely something worth hearing. I am struck by candor and willingness to "put herself out there", so to speak, for the benefit of others. For this alone, I give the book 5 stars.

If you read this manifesto you will not only begin to identify destructive thinking patterns you will gain understanding about who you really are in Christ.

I'd love to hear more from Sundi Jo on this subject. She is a work in progress, as we all are, and it is a blessing to be able to benefit from what she is learning and how she is growing in her walk with Christ.

I wish I had read this 20+ years ago. This manifesto could have kept me from poisoning my mind and my body with lies about myself. In 2003, I finally found someone who knew the truth. A Christian counselor read to me a list of lies people believe about themselves and asked me to tell her which ones I was believing. I answered yes to 75% of her list. So 75% of my life was based on poisonous thoughts instead of life-affirming thoughts. It's no wonder that I had struggled with depression, chronic fatigue, and stomach problems. Not to mention, a failed marriage and a co-dependent personality. My thoughts were making me just as sick as if I were drinking pesticides every day.

I am so thankful someone showed me the truth (my Creator's truth about me) verses the lies. My life is radically different today because this happened. I have joy and peace now. Before this transition in my thinking, I only knew how to use those words in a sentence. I had not experienced them for myself. This past weekend, a friend I've known for a few years described me as love and joy. That is the new Jennifer with thoughts filtered through the truth of God's Word. The Jennifer who believes what God says about her.

Reading Liar Liar can help everyone address thoughts that are fatal to relationships, emotional, and physical health. Take a chance on this easy to read, pointed, inspiring and helpful manifesto. I can't begin to estimate the time & money it could have saved me in counseling and physicians.

Sundi Jo Graham is a woman who "gets it". She is authentic, honest and bold in sharing about the transformation in her life. She dosen't just talk about change; she lives her faith out loud. Her heart is golden and her message is clear! Only Jesus can change your life.
I had the privilege of meeting her while launching Jeff Goins' book, Wrecked and have since joined her in the launch of her personal manifesto: Liar, Liar

We get rid of old beliefs with the truth of God's word. We fill our minds with the promises in scripture and this changes us, from the inside out.
This book challenges you to look at the lies you believe about yourself. There is a real battle going on and it is taking place in our minds. This is a great book to share with someone who is new to the faith or to use as a discipleship tool. We all need reprogramming and the best way to do this is with God's word.
Start today to renew your mind and win the battle with Jesus!

I've never met Sundi Jo, but her writing style makes it seem like we're old friends sharing a confidence. Honest, authentic and showing little fear in sharing her tale, she manages to take the often cold, formulaic religious message of the righteous and instead spin a heart-warming tale of painful negativity transformed into hope, optimism and joy. Often this message comes with the How, but leaves out the Why, Sundi however opts to include her deeply personal journey and what changes occured in her mindset to allow this change to happen. While these revalations may seem obvious and a lot like the stuff you parents may (or may not) have said to you as a kid, the truth contained within is undeniable.

A fantastic book that really challenges what it is about us that makes us carry the negativity around in our lives.

I can't say I learned anything new in this book, but I did get a few important reminders that were valuable to me.

I didn't know this book was basically about bringing us to God, but her personality was so sweet and bubbly in this short book that I didn't feel her message was pushed onto me.

Due to the way she expressed her personality in this book, I found it to be a real pleasure to read. I will definitely be on the lookout for more books from her.
