Perfect for storing OXO cold brew
I bought these to store cold brew coffee made with the OXO compact cold brew coffee maker. I was delighted to find that it actually fits perfectly to decant the cold brew without even needing to use the included carafe (see my photo). These glass bottles are slim and fit better in my refrigerator and allow me to have multiple variations (regular, decaf, flavored) in the fridge at once. Love them! So pleased.

    I originally ordered this bottle to store fruit juice in my refrigerator. As an artist, beauty is important to me and I loved the minimalist lines. That being said, imagine my disappointment when I tried to remove the cap on my first order and found it so tightly in place that it seemed unlikely I could get it off without risking the integrity of the bottle. Running warm water seemed to help as it loosened the glass and the cap came off without an issue. I was able to store some fruit juice in it overnight. The next morning, however, I found the neck of the bottle had cracked and I was forced to return the bottle for a replacement, which came in a matter of days. However, I was so taken by the design and functionality of the bottle, I ordered 2 more: one for wine and the other for creamer. The new shipment didn't have any issues with the caps. However, I would suggest not pressing the cap too tightly into the neck of the bottle lest you experience what I experienced with my first shipment. I now store my fruit juice, wine and creamer in an artistic display and look forward to opening my refrigerator each morning to access the contents.

    I LOVE how carefully this was wrapped for delivery. I was worried about ordering something glass through the mail, but it came wrapped to well in bubblewrap that there is no way it could break! This is the perfect size that I needed and it is not too heavy or lightweight. The lid fits very tight, so there is no chance it will come off accidently. The lid also seems at least a little durable since I accidentally dropped it on the counter first thing upon opening it and not even a chip happened. I am very happy with the product.

    I've been using the Platypus for my water vessel at home....filling it up at the beginning of the day and hopefully emptying it by the end. But I've decided to ditch all plastic...even the ones that are supposedly safe.

    Came to AMZN hoping to find something in glass and saw this. I ordered the 24 oz one and am VERY pleased with it.

    The top on mine is snug fitting but it does leak if turned on its side so it is not for traveling. But around the house it's perfect. I've even started putting a few slices of cucumber in it and am drinking more water.

    Some reviewers have mentioned it's easy to break. The glass feels substantial but I am being careful. The price is reasonable enough that if it does break buying another one won't break the bank.

    I've come back to order another one for my office. It's attractive enough to be out in public ;o)

    It's a good looking bottle that fits well on an inside refrigerator door due to the small footprint. It works well for holding light liquids such as water and clear juices.

    I doesn't work well for holding heavy mixes that have thick sediment (salad dressing with lots of herbs, nuts, etc). After moderate shaking, a lot of the sediment clings to the bottom. After a lot of shaking the sediment releases, but it's a hassle.

    It needs a long bottle brush for cleaning.

    The glass wall is a little on the thin side, which makes it attractive, but not some I want to use as a not-easily-breakable everyday kitchen workhorse.

    I just love this little carafe. It is simple, functional and beautiful. It is simply a tall, narrow cylinder with a narrow neck and a glass stopper with a very secure seal. It’s beauty is in its simplicity. I usually like quirky things but the simple elegance of this carafe lets it blend right in with my other stuff. But beautiful simplicity would fit right in with more traditional styles as well. I think it would go with anything. And it is a pleasure to use as it fits your hand and is so well balanced.

    It would also be absolutely smashing as a decorative item if you wanted to fill it with sea shells, colored rocks, etc.

    One of the Best Buy’s on Amazon.
