To my pleasant surprise, it is everything the other reviews suggested and more! I came home, threw a couple of potatoes in the microwave, and emptied the roast beef into a bowl. I ended up with the beef and gravy over lightly buttered baked potatoes. It was a hearty and filling meal (enough for two dinners) that tasted like a good crock pot roast. I've since tried the product in stroganoff and creamed over toast points. Both were fantasatic! The meat is hearty, lean, and tender; the gravy is flavorful and rich. Honestly, I'm amazed that something so good is such a secret - - but then again, any canned beef I've tried before this product has tasted (and smelled!) like dog food.
Bottom line: THIS IS A FANTASTIC PRODUCT! It is delicious, convenient, versatile, and thoroughly enjoyable. What a blessing!
+Really tasty, especially if you have a little gravy mix on hand to thicken it.
+Long shelf life.
+Great time saver, goes great on just about anything.
-Amount of beef. They really didn't hold back with the gravy in these. The beef still tastes great, but there isn't much of it.
-Quality of the beef. This one's a little biased, as I grew up on Libby's where the beef had a much more solid, wholesome bite to it and that's what I was expecting when I grabbed these.
All in all, still a great meal when you're short on time and still want something that tastes good. If they upped the amount of beef in the cans and thickened the gravy a bit I'd love to come back and give this 5 stars.
and on its surface I noted a lot of suet. I removed it but the rest tasted terribly. I added a lot of spices and
took a glass of a good wine. The aftertaste of suet continued. I am not going to buy it again.
update: the more I eat of this beef product the more I like it. There are so many possible variations with this can of delicious beef product. It's very easy to create a quick meal with this can of beef. I buy it often from amazon.com.
This is a superb canned meat product any way I look at it. In terms of taste I actually haven't had a roast beef dinner with meat as tender, tasty and as succulent that could rival my my own mothers cooking since I left home 40 years ago.
Right out of the can it is very clear that the product underwent careful handling and preparation.
Consistency of high quality was evident in each of the eight cans from my recent 8-pack purchase through Amazon.
At only $4.80 a can you can expect an authentic gourmet experience. In deference the nay Sayers regards to the over abundance of the gravy to roast beef let it be said if that if this is the only way Libby's can bring this product to market then its no problem for me.
I'll just buy more product and so should the gripers.

Very tough. Do not buy. Made in Brazil. I can't return it because I have opened the set and used a can. i recommend the Kirkland signature roast beef in 4 cans. Made in USAPublished 2 months ago by Ray
This is Brazilian beef and not USA beef like the Kirkland/Costco brand. There is a difference in taste and texture as Kirkland tastes much better in my opinion. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Amazonian Humanoid
way to much fat . had to sort through it and throw away half of the product from gristle and fatPublished 4 months ago by Monos Deja
This is NOT deli style roastbeef. IT IS POT ROAST BEEF. It is small pieces of typically tasting pot roast with very little fat in a good tasting brown gravy. Read morePublished 7 months ago by D. Dukky
