Hailed by Glenn Beck as a “Watchdog,” bestselling author and legal expert Christopher Horner explains how every citizen can use the Freedom of Information Act to find out what our government is up to.

LIBERALS ARE HIDING THE TRUTH FROM YOU. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT, AMERICA?

Hailed by Glenn Beck as a “watchdog” and by Rush Limbaugh as a “go-to guy,” bestselling author and attorney Christopher C. Horner is a leader in the fight against liberal tyranny in America—with his requests for information even declared “criminal” by the Obama administration. Revealing explosive new information obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and well-placed sources, Horner exposes the tightly kept secret of liberals running our government and schools: a carefully managed war to undermine the taxpayers’ right to see what their government is up to.

During his campaign, Barack Obama promised “the most transparent administration in history.” Not only has this proven to be an empty promise, but he and his liberal allies systematically hide their activities from the public. They use private email accounts and computers, avoid creating records, stonewall information requests, and otherwise delay or deny access to information every taxpayer has a right to know. This eye-opening book exposes the White House tricks, tactics, and “tradecraft” now regularly used to keep Americans in the dark. You’ll learn:

* Scandalous examples of activist government employee tricks to hide their activities.
* How the Obama administration, which leaks sensitive information for political gain (while aggressively prosecuting whistleblowers), deliberately politicized the FOIA process to stonewall legitimate requests for public information.
* What the Democrats tried to hide about their crony deals with big business, Solyndra, various liberal initiatives, and UN schemes.
* How American colleges and universities bow to radical liberal faculties to hide public records.
* How to fight these tactics and make your own FOIA requests to get the information you need—even when the government tries to stop you.

This is more than an exposé on the latest Washington cover-up. It is a wake-up call and how-to manual for all Americans to demand transparency from our leaders and defeat the liberal attack on open and honest debate. If you believe in America, you need to fight for your freedoms. You need to take a stand against the Liberal War on Transparency.

Praise for Power Grab
Power Grab exposes the agenda of the Obama administration and its allies, from ‘green jobs’ to the cap-and-trade energy tax as ways to cram down the Left’s long-held wish list of demands, and dream of ‘organizing society.’ Horner reveals what their rhetoric means, how the schemes work and what it all spells for you if they win. Power Grab lays bare the plan to replace your individual liberties with the state, securing the Left’s dream of making decisions for you and your family: what you can drive, how you can live, and what sorts of jobs and future they deem acceptable for Americans.”
—Mark Levin, bestselling author and nationally syndicated radio host

“Chris Horner raises the red flag about the so-called ‘green economy.’
Power Grab shows the dark gray economic fallacies that lie behind the bright ‘green’ economic fairy tales, in a way everyone can understand, if while laughing between the tears.”
—Dr. Gabriel Calzada, professor of applied environmental economics at King Juan Carlos University

Power Grab exposes the incestuous relationships between the Obama administration and the piles of taxpayer money it wants to pipeline to the Big Green juggernaut consisting of Big Business and Big Labor. Horner shows that the green agenda isn’t so much about a clean environment as it is about redistributing income from us to them.”
—Stephen Moore, member of
The Wall Street Journal editorial board and senior economics writer

“Chris Horner was right in his bestselling
The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to Global Warming and Environmentalism. He was right in his book Red Hot Lies that exposed the cover-ups, lies, and intimidation of the global-warming alarmists. And he’s right again in his new book Power Grab, which exposes what the extremists are really after: power over you, your wallet, and even your right to self-government. Power Grab is essential reading for fighting back.”
—Congresswoman Michele Bachmann

The Liberal War on Transparency: Confessions of a FOIA Criminal is an amazing piece of work. Learning how our government tries to keep its citizens in the dark about how it operates is frightening. Thank goodness we have people like Mr. Horner to keep us apprised of some of what is going on in D.C.. All four of his books have been very revealing and express his vast knowledge of what really is happening. His great sense of humor makes his books apleasure to read.

If you are a news junkie and get your information from places other than the mainstream media, much of the content of this book won't be new to you. For all others, it would probably be worth your time to read Horner's book which is based on his extensive Freedom Of Information Act requests. Some of the revelations might shock or maybe surprise you. In all fairness, this same investigative zeal needs to be applied to the Republicans as well.

Another eye awakening book by Chris Horner. Very informative of what the government is doing. Focus is a very important tool in understanding what the government is doing. Horner is well versed in the steps necessary to obtain information on transparency. Read this book to know what you need to do to be an informed citizen.

While George Bush was accused of being secretive, Obama is much worse. And what makes it even sadder is how loud he brags about his transparency. It's enough to make you gag. "The Liberal War on Transparency" gives you an insider's prospective on the sordid mess. It details the author's experience with using The Freedom of Information Act in obtaining information from organizations involved with global warming. the author also has a chapter detailing how to use The Freedom of Information Act. Interesting book.
