The hook itself is OK -- not great, but OK.
The screws, however, are terrible!! Incredibly soft and weak metal. Just one 'jump' with my driver bit stripped the heck out of the screw head, very easy to eat away the metal. As the first screw started to get close, i.e., just getting tight enough to stop the hook from wobbling, not high-torque tight, I switched to a hand screwdriver so that I could be very slow and careful. A slight twist and the head popped right off the screw! I could tell the second screw was just about to give up, too. I've put plenty of screws into my walls before and I drilled appropriate pilot holes, so it's not like I was being careless about it.
I see at least one other recent reviewer had the same problem. Unless you have some black colored #6 screws of your own, avoid!
I'm realizing now that the product I received is NOT the product up in the picture. The holes in mine are not as well machined, the curve of the hooks is not quite the same. So basically I got an even cheaper version of the product I expected. Well, fool me once...
They do function as hooks and they're strong enough to hold up a bathrobe or nunchaku or whatever. No one's going to try to hang their car's transmission from these hooks. But if you want cheap and unattractive hooks, just use a bent nail.
