the almost perfect ratings of people who had read it. It is so moving and well done, that now I too agree that an award of a five star rating is
not even enough. It really should be a required read of any student prior to entering high school. Bullying is something that we often see
at all stages of life, but is perhaps the cruelest act that one can inflict on another human during their formulative years. The thoughts
running through the victim Ely's mind at the beginning of the chapters lead the reader on and is such a nice touch. The skill of the author
gained by his years as a teacher and coach are so apparent as one quickly becomes engrossed in this moving and inspirational
novel. At all ages, readers should be prepared for both smiles and tears, and deeply moving thoughts when later pondering this fantastic story.
"A simple smile, a friendly greeting, a small act of kindness can have an unexpectedly positive impact on someone. Conversely, thoughtless and mean behaviors can, over time, have devastating consequences for them. EVERYTHING you say and do does make a difference in people's lives." Ely Carter
