As a spiritual scientist (yogi) for many years, I am delighted to see that this book has been made available on the U.S. market. Dr. Werner's hard science-minded approach to "living on light" is a beautiful contrast to the current small (and growing) group of more "spiritually-minded" light feeders - Jasmuheen, HRM, etc.

Dr. Werner takes a very objective look at the process and ability of the human body to receive nourishment from the "light" - i.e., prana, chi, ki, orgone, etc. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Dr. Werner has himself subsisted solely on prana (and water, tea, etc) since the year 2000. By sharing his experience with the world, Dr. Werner is trying to open the "materialistically-addicted" minds of fellow scientists so that they too can see that we humans are spiritual beings as well.

This book includes great information for the Western educated person as well as: transcript of a Dr. Werner lecture; Q&A w/ Dr. Werner; a 10-day hospital-run experiment in which Dr. Werner was kept in strict isolation and studied around the clock; personal experience from a dozen or so people that have also underwent the 21-day transition process; and a look into the future of science and spirituality.

For anyone interesting in the future of human evolution (that is here now), this is a great book to have. Dr. Werner's book is a perfect addition to the Jasumheen, HRM, Mantak Chia (parts of his work), and yogic books/videos that also teach these wonderous methods of living on light.

Namaste.

I read the book cover to cover. I actually cancelled it after ordering feeling something negative but Amazon still send it to me and so I read it . I was impressed with the sincere attempt made by Dr. Micheal to explain the Breatharianism. The book covers cases studies of people from all walk of life and none of those case studies were successful. Also most of the case studies indicated starvation and weight lose including Dr. Micheal own weight loss. Please note weight loss is not a sure sign of failure. its absolutely possible that DNA can undergo change further making it light weight energy body. From the philosophical point of view that one can sustain on just cosmic energies and giving historical case studies like Giri Bala made the book worth reading. Conceptually as per Vedas, The eternal knowledge , it fits to say its 100% possible to stay without food . Vedas clearly indicate the sequence of creation . God created ether, from ether came air, from air came fire, from fire came water , from water came earth( solid). Also Veda says God is in every atom. Dr. Micheal is referring to God when he says Light. Also Vedas say God resides in heart of each living being and continuously sustains that being by giving power to think , act, speak, see, touch and even the consciousness of the being comes from God. Then

Q.1 why were all the cases studies in book indicate failure means the subject started eating food again. This is not answered in the book.
Q.2 Further why did some under go starvation, suffering while Dr. Micheal clearly experienced being nourished on 4th day by light( actually its God to be direct) as he calls. This is not answered either.

I think the book made a appreciable attempt and if the goal of Dr.

In 1935, 1912 Nobel prize winner Alexis Carrel wrote in MAN, THE UNKNOWN that there was no proof that even one molecule of food ever became part of any human being's body. Michael Werner has now proved how right Dr. Carrel was.

Theosophist Rudolf Steiner often made the same observation. When an acorn grows into an oak tree, the ground around the oak does not weigh any less, so where did the oak tree come from? The only answer is from the invisible ether, or whatever you choose to name that spiritual world.

Scoffers like the one star reviewer (cited elsewhere here) cannot fathom the obvious exception that changes the current paradigm. But Michael Werner has proven them wrong, just like Catholic nun Blessed Therese Neumann did early in the 20th century.

Anecdotal evidence points to poisoning as the reason Rudolf Steiner died so young. Steiner pointed people towards the truth in his lectures; viz., that metaphysics has primacy over physics at all times.

Read LIFE FROM LIGHT with an open & inquiring mind, and make up your own mind about its truth. And let the scoffers weep, and gnash their teeth. Their day has indeed passed by.

This book was the last step to me to make a decision (of course after a great preparation). The Michael's approach is really valuable because he talks from a regular person's perpective. I consider myself a regular person as well, so this book was for me. And I did the process in 2010 and I can say that after a good preparation anyone can do it, although I found 90 days later, by living by prana, that our emotional/social attachments for food and our addictions for sugar, salt, spices, etc, need a serious work on before we try some very radical process like this. I am very happy that I did it, my life changed completely, but I came back to food and I think that the best way to be a food free is going step by step, i.e., go vegetarian, vegan, frutarian, liquidarian, or something close to it. This way we will not force our nature, we will learn how to listen to the body, etc. I agree with Michael: this is for everyone, but, please, be careful and wise. Listen to you own intuition and respect your body needs.
Thanks to Michael. His great work helps a lot, and is a real proof that it is possible to live a food free life style.
