This puts me in mind of the Little House books, loved those when I was a kid. The Life with Lily books are recommended for kids ages 8-12 but I think kids closer to 7-8 will enjoy them most. 5 out of 5 stars.
I received an ecopy of this book free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
As I read this story to my little girls we were able to take a peek into Amish life through the eyes of Lily. They learned that Lily is a lot like them, she likes to play with dolls, color, help her parents, and sometimes she is naughty.
I enjoyed reading Life with Lily with my two daughters, who are 5 and 8. The story is reminiscent of Little House on the Prairie, and Lily reminded us of Laura Ingalls.
I recommend Life with Lily to children ages 5-12, but I think Moms will like the story just as much, if not more, than than their children.
Life with Lily is the first of four books in The Adventures of Lily Lapp series.
**Life with Lily by Mary Ann Kinsinger and Suzanne Woods Fisher was provided for me free by Litfuse Publicity Group in exchange for my honest review.

We recently finished this book (I read it aloud to my five-year-old) and loved it-- it's well written, enjoyable to read, and hits on so many pertinent topics for kiddos. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Chelsey K Croskey
This was a bit different as it was written from a child's view point. It was light reading as it didn't go into much detail about things outside her world. Good clean story.Published 6 months ago by joyg
This was a nice wholesome book. It did have a little romance and some surprises. It was a quick read, but good.Published 7 months ago by Jessica Currier
Cute book, easy read. Love reading books about Amish families. Often it makes me want to live so much simpler than we do.Published 8 months ago by B. Mckay
I bought this for my 9 year old daughter, a voracious reader. She loved the whole series and read each book and sat waiting at the mailbox for the next one. Read morePublished 8 months ago by Upnorthmama
