With this series it's hard to decide which book I like the most. The first one, Where Love Finds You, was sweet, idealistic, and didn't pack much tension, but felt more like a soft walk on a warm beach. The second book, Down from the Clouds, was exactly that. It took us Down from the Clouds, but I felt like we were still hovering above the earth in a hot air balloon with the beauty of Gavin's relationship and love story. Now, with The Life I Now Live, it's like I've come way down from the clouds and entered another world. Heidi and Patrick see the world differently than Gavin, Matt, and Ella. They have more problems. There is more tension. More twists, of course, as Ms. Grey likes to keep us guessing.

Her writing gets better with each book. I absolutely love that all characters continue in each book. I can still follow Matt and Ella. Not to mention Sarah and Mwenye. Then there are all the new characters which add dimension and interest.

If I had to find one word to describe Marilyn's books, I'd say: beautiful. She weaves together life and love with such simplicity. I can't help but fall in love with each character.

I adore Heidi and Patrick. I loved them from the first book and it was interesting to find out why Heidi really didn't want to take off her wedding rings and move on. It was also nice to see Patrick find happiness and to skate again. Something he hadn't done for years.

This book captivated me, as did the rest. I can't wait for Heart on a Shoestring this winter and all 7 more of the books in this series. Thank you, Marilyn, for a nice clean romance series in the midst of sex-saturated romance. It's nice to see characters fall in love before they fall into the mattress.

If you like Charles Martin, Nicholas Sparks, or anything with a sweet and poetic feel to it, you'll love this amazing series.

Marilyn Grey does it again in creating such a Beautiful Love Story for these wonderful characters flaws and all, that makes you want to keep reading more and more, and not wanting to ever stop until you've reached the very last page.

I must say Wow just Wow!! This was just absolutely wonderful I really enjoyed reading this book so very much.

I loved reading about how Heidi and Patrick worked through their own issues and circumstances hoping they could possibly be together at some point if that was what was meant to be for them. Definitely some heartbreaking moments, as well as happiness, and a little mystery lurking there too. Which I always like a smidgen of mystery thrown in to keep you on your toes. The little twists and surprises keep you reading wanting to know so much more. Let alone looking for that happy ending that they both deserve after dealing with such heartbreak in their lives. There were also some very sweet and cute little moments.

Loved this one just as much as reading about Matthew, Ella and Gavin's stories in the prior books. I love how you get little bits of the other characters throughout, which just makes the story flow easily from one book to the next even with adding new characters along the way. Plus getting those little pieces of info on prior main characters keeps you updated on them too. It makes you want to continue reading so you can learn more about their stories, struggles, passions, and hopeful happiness as well.

I truly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it as well as reading first if possible

I don't "get" the rave reviews from others on this book. I thought it was terrible - one of the worst books I've read. I'm giving it 2 stars for 2 reasons: 1- because the ending had a very creative (tho somewhat predictably guessable) resolution. 2- the way the story was told was a refreshing format - alternating between the telling by the 2 main characters - rather than the normal straight timeline in first or third voice.
But the main male character, Patrick, was such an exaggerated, needy whiny-heart that it nearly made me sick. Faithfulness, true love, following your dreams, etc is all admirable, but this guy is off the spectrum of sappy and lost.
The other distraction was some either terrible editing or bad transposition to Kindle format. (I'm giving the benefit here, hoping it wasn't the writer herself that was so off). Poor grammar, using the wrong word (like repeatedly using "passed" instead of "past" - and "balled" instead of "bawled") is simply inexcusable. Then there was the paragraph mistakenly repeated in a later chapter, making for some confusion.
This is all the badly written, overly-dramatic and sappy drivel I can take for a very long time, and probably won't ever read this author again.

Wow, another amazing book from Marilyn Grey. This series just keeps getting better. I love the twists that are always a part of these books.
These characters pull you in and won't let you go. Heidi is such a faithful person and Patrick is such a great guy.I couldn't put the book down until I was done. This book can be read alone, but I would recommend reading the series in order. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.
