This was a foreshadowing of her sainthood.
The trials she went through following this conversion are exactly what would happen today. It's such a real story.
Back then when you were setup with a marriage, if your spouse came from a weathly family, you would inherit a lot of money. Well after visiting st agatha, Lucy decides to change her life which results in some serious struggles over this money that her future spouse was supposed to get. And he doesn't get the girl either because Lucy consecrates her life to god. This would be an amazing movie.
My mother suffered from damaged eyes as a result of her Diabetes.
She was legally blind in one eye and her other eyes sight was saved even though that too was damaged.
We feel our prayers to St. Lucy, and the fact that my mom also wore a St. Lucy medal, is waht really saved her
her from going completely blind. For that, we thank her.
My mom is gone now. Passed exactly 6 months ago. But in all her severe suffering she never lost her site.
This book reminds me of what St. Lucy did for my mom, and our devotion to her.
Also, I love that her prayers are in this book and I will always look up to St. Lucy for the protection of my own site.
This book is a must have for all Christians who seek St. Lucy's intecession. She's a beautiful Saint.
5 Stars for this book.
"The Life and Prayers of Saint Lucy of Syracuse" by Wyatt North is a crisp, concise, and congenital examination of faith for today's seeker of confidence in their belief to find historical confirmation of their path to follow.
Finally a book that fully explains St. Lucy and her life and even offers reasonable explanations for missing information. The Life of St. Lucy is truly a gem!
She has started to read it and she can fortunately read again thanks to St. Lucy and an intelligent Dr.
