About the Author
CJ Schepers is a book ghostwriter, developmental editor, and former award-winning religion reporter living in Los Angeles. During her Midwest newsroom days, she broke the worldwide story about the deepening friendship between a Jewish cantor and a Klansman, inspiring the book Not by the Sword (Kathryn Watterson, Simon & Schuster, 1995). As a "bona-fide life crisis survivor," CJ's purpose is to give us hope. Hope in our darkest moments, and loneliest, most terrifying junctures. The Life Raft is her first book. She has two groovy, grown daughters, three spunky g-kids, and lives with her man Ted and their crazy, adorable cats. CJ's current passion is Blackcat-Whitecat: The Interdimensional Tails, a sci-fi fantasy she's co-writing with her first kitty Emma (from "the other side").

A bountiful love offering!
It isn’t meant to be read as you would read a story, but is a companion for random consultation, where each page is a nudge out of what doesn’t work for us. It’s a small book, so that women with big purses could keep it at hand for encouragements to be who they can be. And everyone can park it on a nightstand for pep talks to the best of themselves they can sleep on. Open to any page and see a little gem of a photograph that’s well-selected to illustrate the point of the author’s pithy reminder to rise above life’s morass, plus get a little shot of emphasis from a well-chosen quote by the greats of all time.
