I have one of these in my car trunk, and bought one for my son's car. It's handy to have if you need to air up a tire and are not near a service station. The 12 volt inflator isn't as fast as the one I have in my garage which runs on standard household current, but it's a great thing to have with you at all times. I chose this one because it carries the AAA logo, and it does work well in a pinch (like when you get a flat only to find out that the air pressure in your spare isn't what it should be). We've used it for inflating tubes at our friend's lake house, too, and it beats the old-fashioned "everyone take turns blowing on this thing for the next 2 hours" method.

As a DIY-er, as much as possible, if I can do it on my own - I will. So, after my VW Golf GTI gave out the "tire pressure low" warning, My car needs 37 and I found out I only had 26-ish per tire. I decided to purchase this to re-inflate the tires since it also came in with great reviews.

The product is just as advertised. It looks exactly like the photo and came in with the accessories. Some pamphlets and of course the manual. Using it was fairly easy and only requires common sense. I don't know anything about car servicing and I was able to use this without difficulty (which made me feel proud of myself too, you know). I felt like Megan Fox in the Transformers movie. Lol. Anyway.

The compressor gets warm eventually and may need to let cool to avoid any accidents from overheating. Most importantly, it is LOUD af. It's almost like running a generator in my garage, but of course I don't mind. It will fill out about 10 PSI in less than 5-6 minutes. At first I thought it wasn't working because the gauge wasn't moving, but it just takes a while due to it being a portable one.

Overall, it was my first time using it and we'll see how long it lasts. ^_^v

Bought this because my 2016 Ford Escape has a sensitive low tire pressure gauge and every time there is a change in temp the thing starts telling me low tire pressure so I wanted something to have with me in case that happen I could put the couple pounds of air necessary to have the light up. Then this morning as I walked out the tire was completely flat, all the way to the floor. I couldn't even drive it to a tire place as it was (less than half a mile). I remember I bought this so decided to give it a try, in the 15 mins allotted it inflated to almost 30 pounds, enough do drive it to the place. The tire had a screw in so it was deflating rapidly. This thing saved me having to have someone come and help me! Even if it never works again (which I don't see why it shouldn't but anyway just going by other people's reviews on that regard) I consider this money well spend and this saved me already time and money in just one use. The tire placed patched me up and had me on my way and all of this didn't cost me a penny. I'm happy with this purchase!

As many reviews state, this is very loud and shakes violently but gets the job done. I'd give it 4.5 if available and the only reason I don't give it 5 is because of the time it takes. It says it takes 8 minutes, if I recall, to inflate a fully deflated care tire. It takes from 4-6 minutes to inflate a care tire from 26-28psi to 33psi. I don't need a new tire, the tread is fine, but have a screw in it that I just haven't time to repair and it's causing a slow leak. With the constantly changing weather in my area, I've already used this 7-8 times so it's paid for itself as opposed to paying $1.50 at a gas station, plus the convenience factor. Definitely rec.

I bought this compressor to replace a slightly cheaper one that had burned out with 9 months of use only once or twice a month to keep the tires on my SUV topped off for better gas mileage. I purchase the LifeLine compressor on 15 March 2015 and it burned out on 13 February 2016. Between getting 1 or 2 more miles per gallon, and saving 75¢ or more per month feeding quarters into the air machine (when it's working!) at my local gas station, I probably broke even on the investment. Still, when a product is backed by the AAA name, I expect it to last 2 or 3 years; not 11 months!

On the plus side, the 10-foot power cord was a plus, the pressure gauge was fairly accurate, and the on/off switch was solid and didn't short out like the one on the compressor I owned before. Still, to burn out so quickly with only light usage was a huge let-down. And did I mention it was VERY noisy?

The AAA logo sets the expectation bar high. The product delivered.
Purchased as a gift for a single Mom with an older very used vehicle. The appreciation level for this gift spiked when she used it as she exited the USPS to get her car to a flat fix. 2 minutes from 9lbs psi in tire to 35psi ridding pressure. No need to stress or wonder who would come to help. She simply plugged into cigarette lighter, screwed on to valve stem, and pressed the power button on the mini compressor. 2 minutes later, ready to rock n roll.

Excellent for ocasional use.

Recently bought this after air pressure warning in my SUV.
Local gas stations charge $1.50 for single use and i did need it for couple of times before realsing I have nail in my front tire.

Looked for bunch of them online and in local walmart.

Ended up buying this minly for price and reviews. things that make it worth bying.

- small form factor
-Pressure aguge is part of it .
-reasonable lenght of power cord
-easy attach nozzle for quick attachment and removal.
- 25 psi to 40 psi in about 4-5 minutes.
- Ideal for top up .
- Cost is about 10 times worth of gas station payment for air service.

Takes it about 7 minutes to add 5psi of air into an SUV tyre, and feels a tad 'lightweight', but like the brave little train, it keeps on trying, and gets you there. I've used it a half dozen times (eventually I replaced that damn tire with the slow puncture) and it hasn't failed me. The cable storage is also pretty convenient, so it can be wrapped up in its box again when done.

Although there's plenty of cable for connecting to the cigarette lighter, the cable for connecting to your tire valve is a bit stingy, and it's also as loud as that drunk guy in the bar watching his team lead in the 4th quarter.

There's undoubtedly better, stronger, compressors out there - but for the money, this gets it done.............eventually.

Edit: Updated and gave just an extra star because it's good for inflating a basketball fast. Haha

People saying "it's not too loud" are crazy or must be going deaf. This thing is so loud and annoying; I'd forgive the noise if it performed well, but even that is worse than the sound it makes. It will annoy your neighbors and everyone.

It's really not worth the snail amount of time it tries to inflate and having to tolerate the "ground drilling noise" this thing makes. To top it off, it started smoking, which is when I realized this is junk. I rather drive a few miles to a gas station that provides free air than having to deal with this device.

AAA should be ashamed to slap their name on this thing. You've been warned.

I bought this tire pump because my current tires are old and starting to leak, and I can't afford to replace them until my next couple of paychecks roll in. I figured having this thing would be more convenient than running to the gas station every day, and WAY easier than having to actually call AAA because my tire is so flat I can't even leave my own driveway.

Using it is pretty simple and easy. Plug one cable into the cigarette lighter, plug the other into your tire valve, hit the power button and... immediately cover your ears because this thing is LLLOOOUUUDDDD. If you're stuck on the side of an interstate, the noise wouldn't be a problem, but I doubt my neighbors appreciate this racket in our otherwise tranquil community. It vibrates and flops around on the ground, so thankfully it has sturdy construction to withstand beating itself up.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PART... is the locking mechanism on the bit that goes on your tire valve. When you unlock it to take it off, the air starts hissing back out of the tire, and the pump gets stuck on the valve for a little while, so you race to yank the stupid thing off, all the while listening to the air you just pumped in hissing back out. Pretty sure I lost 5 PSI this way, and when you consider the racket and time it took just to put that 5 PSI in there, it's pretty wasteful and irritating.

Overall, I'm going to keep it for emergencies. I'd much rather use this thing and limp to the nearest gas station than wait on a tow truck if I get stranded with a flat. But I don't trust it to fully inflate my tire under any circumstances. It seemed to get stuck around 30 PSI when the target was 35. Instructions suggest jacking up the car so the weight isn't sitting on the tire, making it easier for the pump, but I'm not keen on trying that unless I absolutely have to.
