I've bought many water bottles over years--plastic (without BPA), metal, all-glass, thermos, etc. This is the best one I've ever bought. Glass doesn't give the water in the bottle a weird taste like the metal or plastic kinds. The all-glass bottles I've bought before felt fragile. I like that the sleeve in this bottle has holes in it to see the water clearly. The sleeve is also sturdy enough that you feel the bottle is secure. The handle is also sturdy enough to hang on a bag with a carabiner. Highly recommended!

Good quality bottle but lid is impossible to get a good drink out of

I like the bottle overall, but this flip cap needs some work. First of all it’s plastic, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a glass water bottle. Second of all, the hole in this lid is SO TINY?! It’s like drinking out of a sippy cup! Shame on me for buying a water bottle and expecting to be able to drink water out of it, I guess. I was skeptical the silicone cap would actually stay in place, but I was able to shake the bottle upside down as hard as I could without even a drop coming out. Not sure if it the seal will stay tight over time. I like that it has a handle, but because the drinking hole is so little I’ll be ordering a different lid. Overall, the lid issues make this a meh purchase for me.

UPDATE: Changing from 3 stars to two because of this freaking lid. My boyfriend and I have been using our bottles for one day. In that time, this non-sealing lid has caused him to spill both all over the floor and his work bag, and separately again on his laptop in the same day. I also spilled mine separately all over myself before a meeting just from barely bumping the cap while it was sealed. It would be funny how bad this lid is if its existence wasn’t a deathly threat to any electronics in a 5 ft radius. What my boyfriend said really sums it up- “Wow, buying these glass water bottles was the worst idea you’ve ever had.”

This bottle is great. It is glass. It has a wide mouth, making it easy to clean in the dishwasher...no bottle brushes needed. And the silicon grip ensures it won't slip out of my hand. Like the flip lid for the mouth piece and so glad it doesn't have a straw...though one could be easily inserted if you want one. The only drawback is having to remove the silicone sleeve when cleaning so no water gets trapped under it. It can be a bit of a struggle to get on and off, but has enough give in it that it works. I only use for room temperature water so I cannot speak to hot and cold, but should act like any other glass container.

A lot of people have complained about this bottle and how it cracks, especially at the bottom. Here's the thing: its made of glass. You have to be more careful with it than you would a plastic bottle. I have a plastic Contigo bottle I use when I know I'm going somewhere where I might drop it. I just use this bottle for office work and home. Other than having to be more careful with this bottle It's great, I love it. The only negative thing I can say is I have had a couple occasions where the water has leaked out because I didn't close the flap all the way. I've had this bottle for a couple months now and would definitely recommend it for home/office use.
CONS
Not as durable as a plastic water bottle.
It can leak if you're not paying attention.
It can break if you drop it
PROS
Water tastes so much better compared to plastic. This pro for me outweighs all the cons.
4/5 Stars...the lid could be designed better to prevent accidental leakage.

I really liked this bottle...but I've only had it for a month now and the cap has already started to tear and leak. I don't mess with the cap when I'm not drinking from it and I usually just keep it on my desk or in the side pocket of my backpack. I'm very disappointed.

UPDATE: The company sent me three free replacement stoppers that seem to be a little bit thicker. The stopper will occasionally slip off, but that's to be expected with a rubber stopper like this. Overall, I love this water bottle.

This is my new favorite bottle. I recently switched to this glass water bottle after drinking from plastic for years. I drink water out of this bottle all day, every day. I don't use glasses or cups because I like to keep track of how much I drink throughout the day. I use this bottle at home, while I work, and I take it with me on the go (It fits in the cup holder of my car). I have dropped this bottle several times, a couple times off my counter onto my wood floors, and even a couple times onto my driveway and onto the cement floor of my garage. It has not broken yet. The glass on this bottle is so thick. In fact, there are actually a few small surface chips in the glass, I guess where it hit the cement? But it is not even close to cracking or breaking. The silicone sleeve does provide a lot of protection as well. The flip top cap prevents leaks for the most part when it is closed, but it will come undone if you shove this bottle in a bag, and then it will leak all over. That's really the only downside. I like the carrying handle, it's easy to grab and I love that it can be pushed to one side to hold back the flip top cap so it doesn't flap in your face.

My Favourite Water Bottle

There is likely not a lot I can say about this product that hasn't already been said many times over, but it is a truly wonderful product in every way imaginable. I have used mine literally every day since purchase and it has performed perfectly: no leaks, the lid fits tightly without threading issues, the flip-top closes tightly (even when jostled in my nursing bag), it cleans beautifully, and the mouth is wide enough to accommodate lemon slices and ice. It even fits under our water/ice dispenser at work! I find that my water stays cold for a surprising length of time with this bottle, wholly appreciate that the glass permits no off-tastes as one can get with plastic, and love that it's good for the environment, as well. The colour is a gorgeous, vibrant blue, and the bottle is as stylish as it is practical. My husband just purchased one for himself today (in the Carbon colour), and several co-workers have been impressed enough to make a purchase, too. I recommend it without reserve!

The bottle arrived earlier than anticipated and very well packaged. This is not this first one of its kind that I have had. Sadly I dropped the last one on its base and it smashed as the silicone was not quite covering the exposed area that impacted the concrete floor!
This is the first time I have had a flip top lid. I was concerned that it may keep leaking however its been ok thus far. The bottle itself can happily take boiling hot water when I make a green tea in it without the glass cracking, so its good for tea!. The silicone sleave appears more dense and covers more area of the bottle than the last one I had, on inspection. It loses a star as I have dropped and smashed more than one, such is the nature of glass....with that it can get expensive replacing these bottles.

I love using these bottles for water. They are very durable! I have dropped one of my bottles twice on concrete and it hasn't broken. The glass seams very strong & the silicone sleeve helps to protect it. I find that water tastes much better in glass then other materials (metal, plastic). I also don't have to worry about chemicals getting into my water from plastic. I've owned Lifefactory bottles for years now and they look as good as when I bought them. Unfortunately it is still possible to lose them so this was to replace one I left somewhere.

Lifefactory makes different styles of the caps on the lids. This one for this model is poorly made and hard to drink out of. Another cap that seems to come with the 16 oz. and more expensive bottles with colors and designs on the glass have the best made cap openings for easy drinking I've ever used. They are designed more like a spout on a pitcher. I don't use the lid on the 22 oz bottle and substitute with the better lid. The plain, somewhat cheaper 16 oz bottles also don't come with the spout type lid though better than the 22 oz. bottle lid.

This is, hands down, nearly the best water bottle I've ever used. Cleaning it is easier than any other, it has no residual taste of anything, it's sturdy, but the lid is just simply not good enough. It's prone to coming out when in a bag, or when jostled.

This is a real shame, because if I were using this water bottle in another setting it might be perfect, but it's a bit of a dealbreaker as-is.

However, it's still MILES ahead of the competition. It's almost funny how bad most bottles are these days, whether it be because they break, they leak with the lid closed, they taste funny, they're impossible to clean with oodles of nooks, they're not dishwasher safe, I could go on, but I won't.
