The story went like this - Tammy and Alejandro both know each other and fall in love with each other suddenly. I felt it was rather sudden and other than that, I was okay with the tale since it was fun getting to know them both in detail. Yes, they were well planned characters. And that kept the tedium to the minimum.
The title hinted at something which would lead to major change. What I envisioned was totally opposite to what the change was. That was one twist which made reading the story worth it. And another thing was it was not riddled with passionate scenes. It was wholesome. That was another big plus in my opinion.
So I am actually interested enough to read Alejandro's main story now but as for continuing the series, I am not 100% sure.
My one line review : A pretty straight forward love story.
My rating : 3.5/5
My reread factor : 2.5/5
The prequel gives us a better insight of doctor Alejandro Alvarez, whom we met in the first book of the series.
We get a chance to meet Tammy Johansen, who works in the same hospital as he does. A friendship develops into a romance and marriage, but will this time is the HEA unreachable?
You will feel joy for him at times, and at others , the sadness takes over and all you want to do is get into the pages so you can give him a hug and tell him you are there for him.
Once again, a jewel of a story. One that will not be easily forgotten and one that will make you a fan of Ms Stone’s forever. Thank you for sharing your talent, Ms Stone.
I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
They are perfectly suited to one another, but life throws them a curveball. Without ruining anything, Alejandro will have to rely on those who love him and the all of his strength to survive it. This is a short, quick read, but don’t let that fool you, it packs quite a punch!

I think it could have been written better and the story developed to reflect each of the character's traits. They were meant to be adults, but acted like from high school or worse, junior high, when it came to love!
I hope that this is a one-off as this is the first book by the author that I have read.
I voluntarily received a copy of this book for an honest review, which is mine alone.
Life’s Forever Changed is a prequel for Alejandro Alverez. We get a closer look at the loss of his best friend that motivated and pushed him to pursue a career as a nephrologist. Finding success as a surgeon, Alejandro is finally to the point where he is looking for a bit more to life—love and companionship. When Tammy Johansen, a pediatric intensive care nurse, catches his eye, their relationship moves quickly. Unfortunately, this life is about to be forever changed.
A fan of Anne Stone’s books and The Show Me Series, I have to admit this was my least favorite. I was missing the depth of the character her other books possess. Maybe it is because the story moved too quickly with passing time for the required development of their relationship, or maybe it was the fact I knew I could not invest in this couple to the same degree. I still found both characters to be delightful and loved the romance and thoughtfulness to Alejandro’s date he planned for Tammy. What I can say is that Tammy brought out something great in Alejandro, and perhaps their relationship is what has allowed him to love the way he does.
*For those just starting the series, I would suggest reading this first and then moving into the series to see how Alejandro’s story continues, and the happiness he is able to find.
