Doc recorded so much music with so many artist so this selection of 101 songs give a sampling of the full range. His classic song is Tennesse Stud and the recording included is from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band sessions. A great history is in the book that this collection is in and then the annotation of all the 101 songs is also included. He didn't have #1 albums or #1 singles but he was true to American Roots music! A National Treasure who overcame his handicap to be a giant in the music industry. Even though I have over 50 of his CD's the book on Doc Watson along with the sampling of his best works is well worth it!

Ok, I know old timey/bluegrass/jazz flat picking is not for everyone but if you like acoustic guitar at its best this is the real deal. The book that comes with it is a quality binding and pages with good notes but of course the real star here is the incredible skill of a true master guitarist. A great value
