My only advice is to read those directions super carefully when assembling. There are 3 poles that fit together and i guess I wasnt clear on one. I put the lower 2 together and when i went to attach the 3rd and highest, i found out that it needed to be inserted in the middle pole before attaching the middle pole to the base. This caused quite a headache as the screw that holds the bottom 2 poles doesnt unscrew. There is a warning in the instructions that say be careful as once attached the step couldnt be undone. I was stuck for some time trying to get that screw out. Finally i got it out and hammered the poles apart and inserted the top adjustable pole as it said. In the end all was well but just be careful. I cant be the only one to make this mistake as they include 2 of the screws that they say be careful as it cant be undone. Lol. Well it can, just not easily and not without a lot of cursing at yourself.
But great when setup, just take your time with the pole assembly.
Helpful tip: if you have wet sand and are trying to put it in the base, it’s a nightmare. Spread out the sand on a cardboard for a few hours before set up to dry. It goes right in with a funnel.
It was also quite quick/easy to assemble with the exception of filling the base. They say you *can* put water in the base but that you'll need to check for leaks. The instructions really didn't give me much confidence that the base would be leakproof for sure. So I went to Home Depot and got 1 bag of sand to put in it. Once the sand was in it was great, but filling that base with sand through the 1" - 1.25" hole can be pretty tedious but it is probably that way on most basketball hoops.
