Review

"Fast paced, action-packed and often humorous, Light of Dawn is a must-have for lovers of great Young Adult paranormal fiction with a dose of friendship, love, and romance." - Readers' Favorite
"This trilogy is an absolute must read." - Nerd Girl Official

About the Author

Komali da Silva was born and raised in Sri Lanka, speaking Sinhalese. English is her second language and she's fluent in German, as well. Switzerland is her current home, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and all her fictional friends. Her best real-life friends are fellow authors because they understand her passion for the written word, The Hunger Games, and power-wielding female characters in general. She loves characters with a bit of humor and a little dorkiness, so she can giggle while reading. Basically, if it has anything to do with books, she's interested in them. She happily refers to herself as a nerd who has an extensive library of paperbacks.

Pure Awesomeness!!!! This is my favorite book in the trilogy by far! I LOVE the characters! They are all so well developed!
I didn't so much care for the few spots from Bonita and Angelo's point of views. I dislike them both, no matter what happened. Of course, there are no words for Bonita. She just leaves me speechless. WTH is all I can think when Bonita does anything.
Asima is as fun as always! She has spunk! The other introductions to new characters were fun too. They only added to the complexity of the plot. I still enjoy Jan as well! Pietro wasn't as prevalent, but he's still a great guy for Jan.
Gabriel! Gah!!! No words. He's sexy, caring, and vicious when in protection mode. Okay, enough about the smexy angel.
The plot was beautifully written. I was enthralled while reading this conclusion to the trilogy. Every detail was crafted to perfection. There wasn't one thing I would change about Light of Dawn.
Overall, this trilogy is a fantastic read. I highly recommend this author, Komali Da Silva. This book gets five glittery stars for being pure amazingness!

I was one of the few fortunate people to get an advanced copy of Light of Dawn. I have purchased the book because I have to have it on my shelf. The journey Dawn takes in this book is exhilarating and I enjoyed every twist and turn. I was flipping pages and anxious for more the whole way through. I know this series has ended, but I truly hope Komali da Silva writes more books in this beautiful world she has craftily created.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I needed a box of tissue to read the first half of Fight for Dawn. Hate to inform you. Keep the box handy for this final book in the Dawn trilogy.

With this book I now love Dawn! The girl is now strong and ready to fight for her loved ones and humanity. She has spirit and strength. She isn’t backing down from the challenge no matter how many demons get in the way. Dawn is now a super hero.

My heart broke a little more with Angelo. I’ve read about fallen angels, but never burnt angels with dark magic clutching their soul. Fortunately, he gets his redemption.

Gabe made me smile. The angel must have been made of stone (you have to read ALL THREE books to understand). He definitely deserved this book’s ending.

I wasn’t a hundred percent thrilled with this story’s end. But, villains got their reward and there’s an HEA (happily ever after). Can’t go wrong with that!

'Light of Dawn' is book 3 from 'The Dawn Trilogy' by Komali Da Silva. So its a must to read all 3 books together as they all carry on from the first book 'Angels of Dawn' where were introduced to Dawn the beautiful 16 year old girl next door whom has a life turned over by a turn of events which follow her 16th birthday, we also meet Nate the all American boy best friend / boyfriend and best friend the gifted Asima, we also meet the new hot boy in town Angelo, and the love triangles that develop so we have to mention Bonita to from the beginning she is the trouble maker !! We also get to know the ever important rules of this paranormal world.

The second book 'Fight of Dawn' we meet the hottest edition and the role of Gabe, who went to know on the trip to Italy, both of these first books are fantastic full of emotional ups and downs, with heart tugging events however 'Light of Dawn' is no let down in fact quite the opposite.

'Light of Dawn as before has strong emotions but is not sexually explicit, and even though its packed full of action I wouldn't say the violence is unnecessarily graphic.

I found the writing fantastic and gripping I just could not put it down. A lot of the ongoing, if buts, and maybes are all thrown together in this book which makes it ...... wow and the unanswered is monumentally final now . I love the way the book switches between the characters point of views so you get the bigger picture about exactly what going on.

Dawn and the support and guidance of Gabe and their friend and family finally finds her inner strength that keeps getting knocked by events, she embraces and learns to control who she is and what shes become and the what and the why and of course the purpose of getting a grip.

What a great ending to a wonderful trilogy. Again I will mention I do not read much paranormal anymore but the combination of angel/demon , witches and all things NOT normal had me hooked. We ended both books 1 & 2 with questions and gasps of shock and probably yelling at the author !! Going into book 3 again there is much heartache. Dawn has suffered so much at her young age , so much in just this past year that I am shocked she is still standing. Obviously there is a reason for all of this suffering and we finally get the story. Thankfully Dawn has Gabriel watching over her , loving her , protecting her and just being with her. I love Gabriel and as much as I love and feel for Angelo and what he is going through I can't help but swoon over Gabriel !! The pieces slowly start to fit and you begin to find out why Dawn has all of these special powers. Knowing that the explanations go deeper she is on a mission to find out who knows what and what exactly she is. Connections are made between people and also within certain struggles that have come up. Once Dawn finds out who she is and why she is so important a whole new struggle comes about. Gabriel will help Dawn to prove herself to the elders and Dawn will be amazing. Sadly for some there is heartache and loss BUT in the end Dawn will amaze you and you will be thrilled with the ending and how it all ties together. Nothing better than coming to the end of a trilogy and seeing what it was all for. I will miss these characters I have grown to love , I found it funny that I could connect with them all being that they were so young !! I will definitely keep Komali on my radar and look forward to seeing what she has for us next !!
