The pictures are spectacular. They will take you to the misty mountains of China & then let you travel to the lush green forests of Italy. You will also witness the golden sun melting softly into the beautiful Australian coast.
You can then observe zebras grazing the Serengeti Plain or discover the beautiful nature-made sandstone sculptures of Arizona. The brilliant green plains & sparkling blue waters of Madagascar will take your breath away.
Captions for each these images are located in the back & include photographic information, location, & some of the photographer's thoughts on the composition. If you can only buy one coffee table book, this is definitely the one to get.
This combination of secure technique coupled with an artistic awareness is a trademark of Art Wolfe's work and gives considerable aesthetic satisfaction. It seems likely that this book will appeal on those grounds to many people and therefore a 5 star rating would seem appropriate. However, at the time I bought it, the book cost considerably less than that being asked today!

Your collection of Books, CDs, DVDs & Blu-Rays must number in the tens of thousands - where do you store them? (U.K. review)
No comment - except to say 'with difficulty!'
We had to remove more books than we have kept when moving to Scotland and the music collection was reduced by about 10%. For many years now I have adopted the line that if there are discs that do not get heard in the course of a year then it probably is due for deletion. This keeps the whole thing manageable. A friend of mine keeps everything and there are many discs that are never played in his collection. This is a step too far for me! Ian
The books is just beautifull... The pictures are breathtaking, and the poems and writings are phenomenal
Sorry, but I had to give it 3 stars because amazon sold me this book, and there were 5 pages missing... I just couldn't believe it...
However, the book is 5 stars +
