The Light & Motion Urban 350 is the perfect light for safe riding on dark streets. While most disposable battery lights emit less than 100 lumens, the rechargeable Urban provides 350 certified lumens for safe and effective riding in dimly lit areas. It also features innovative high-intensity amber sidelights giving added visibility at intersections where most bicycle-vehicle accidents occur. Tested to the FL1 standard, the Urban 350 can withstand drops on concrete from 1 meter and has an IP67 waterproof rating – meaning it can be submerged up to 1 meter just in case you try out an ill-advised shortcut. Considering water ingress is the major cause of bike light failure, Light & Motion made sure that the Urban will handle any weather condition. No other light on the market can claim to be as reliable or robust. A colored battery light indicator lets you know when its time to recharge (5hrs) and the light features a quick handlebar mount. An optional GoPro mount is also available. The Urban 350 is manufactured in California and backed by Light & Motion’s ironclad 2-year guarantee.

1) the charging cover - on most lights, this is a rubber flap that seals out water from the USB port and is tethered to the light so you can't lose it. But on this light, it's a separate and tiny plastic cover that LOOKS like it should stay attached when opened, but it simply falls off. I'm sure I'd lose it soon. Looking at its design, I can't imagine how it was designed not to fall off
2) it gets extremely hot. I have had it on for just about 20 mins now, and the whole front half of the light is so hot i cannot touch it with my bare fingers. is this OK? also, after a full charge and just 20 min, the "50%" indicator just came on. There are too many other reviews talking about the poor battery life, so I'm just going to return it.
The connection between the mount and the light isn't as secure as I'd like either. The light slides on, but a bump will aim it to the right or left, and sliding it on and off can aim the light up and down. This replaced a Planet Bike light which wasn't nearly as bright, but the mount to the handlebars was solid, and when you slide the light on, I knew it was pointing exactly where it was last time.
Cons: Can be fussy to turn on and off. Occasionally turns off with no warning.
UPDATE, One year later - It gets hot hot after being on - less than an hour. And I have used this far less than a regular bicyclist would. I worry about it's life span.
It does not hold a charge, usually less than 15 minutes of run time. It takes a long time to charge. It cannot charge (from a portable power source) while running. This started all within the first use. It seems adequately bright when it works. Maybe this is just a bad item in a good batch.
The light switch itself sticks, making it hard to turn on & off. As others have noted, the USB cover is bad and snapped just when uncovering it twice. The flexible mount seems flimsy but has lasted for a few uses. A small LED flashight with rubberbands may be a better alternative.
My only complaint is the USB port cover somehow fell off. However, since the port is on the underside and close to the mounting point, you would have to ride through a tsunami to get water in there.
I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
The Amazon "Frequently bought together" CygoLite Hotshot 50 is junk in comparison to this.
