The Light My Fire Titanium Spork is a perfectly designed outdoor eating utensil that brings a bit of civilization to the wild and a bit of the wild to civilization. Designed especially for Light My Fire by Scandinavian designer Joachim Nordwall, the Titanium Spork is a spoon-fork-knife combo with a serrated edge on the side of the fork and a slightly textured center that provides an anti-slip grip. Titanium is one of the toughest, most durable alloys on the planet and has excellent resiliency, meaning the Titanium Spork's shape can be restored if it bends slightly (for example, dishing very cold ice cream). Titanium is widely used in aircraft construction because of its lightness and extreme strength, yet it is also used in surgical and dental implants. The polished titanium surface of the Titanium Spork offers a high biocompatibility that is non-toxic and does not produce a metallic taste. Non-corrosive and non-magnetic, the Light My Fire Titanium Spork is perfect for the backpack, boat, picnic basket, lunch box, purse, glove box or briefcase; it's even TSA approved. The Titanium Spork is compatible with any Light My Fire Meal Kit or Spork Cases designed for original Light My Fire Sporks. Dishwasher safe. Length: 6.75 inches (17 cm); Thickness: 0.04 inches (1 mm); Weight: 0.7 oz. (20 g). Designed in Sweden, made in China. One year manufacturer's warranty. I mourned for an appropriate amount of time, and then I bought this as a replacement. So far, it's wonderful. I think we've been together long enough to say that it's past the honeymoon phase. It has the same functionality of my previous spork, with the added bonus of being a little less prone to breaking in half (and thus breaking my heart). We climbed Mount Olympus together. I really think this spork is The One, you know? I think I found my sporkmate!
Edit: Aug. 2015.
Two beautiful years together. Still going strong.

Wow, time flies! From exciting trips to everyday packed lunches, there's still a spark between me and my spork. I can't believe we've lasted this long (mostly just surprised that I haven't lost it -- still sturdy and looks as good as new).
This year, I'm bringing the spork home for the holidays so my mom stops trying to set me up with people.
Attatched in a pick of my bunch of titanium forks. From left to right is Vargo, Toaks, Light My Fire, and two Snow Peaks.
Overall the ones with the main shape (true Sporks) are basically interchangable. The difference is in the handle shapes. The Snow Peak has the biggest scoop area, but only by slightly. I don't believe that it would have any functional difference. The feel of the thicker handles is a little better, but again, it's only a minor difference. So it's basically a 4-way tie just about with those. They are all long, light, and feel similar to regular silverware.
The Light My Fire two-sided spoon and fork combo is different. It has a true spoon and a true fork on each end, and a minimally serrated edge. That gives you more spoon area and more fork area which is quite useful. But, you sacrifice useable reach as you have to grasp it differently, and it has a different feel than typical silverware due to the shape.
Overall, pick what you like, they are all good and comparable.
If you're thinking about getting a spork for a backpacking trip, definitely go with the titanium so you it can last the entire trip! I've had friends who have broken their spork halfway through the trip (b/c it was plastic) and then had to basically eat food with their hands for the rest of the trip!
UPDATE: 2/10/16 - I'm still using these weekly when I do shopping runs. Just yesterday there was a sale on ice cream and I used my spork to eat ice cream in my vehicle :D Of course I keep a cooler on the back seat floor so I can shop all day without having to worry about melting ice cream. But, this spork really helps for eating on the run!
