Dark clear night.
About 1/2 mile from shore.
Fishing in a spot where I rarely get a bite.
Didn't chum the water, had no luck with lures but was having too much fun with catching the larger ones at the bottom.
Don't connect it until it's in the water, this thing is super bright.
Anchor down and be PATIENT - they will eventually come.
Use lots of weight to get it past the smaller guys on top, or cast out about 15 yards to get it out of the light, then bring it towards you to stay deep.
I fish in Lake Havasu in Arizona, we have tons of Striper, I release everything. Next trip out I'm going to just fish lures and see how it goes. This is cheating, plain and simple, but cheating's not always bad (Ask Tom Brady).
As far as quality of the light goes, I was a little suspect, it didn't seem like a solid seal, but after about 3 hours there wasn't a drop of moisture in there. I may still seal it a little better just to be safe. There was barely any draw on the battery, i kept checking, paranoid in the middle of the night I'd kill my battery, it barely moved my battery gauge though.
I'm not sure why there's any negative comments on here, this is a great product. The people with issues more than likely didn't let it sit long enough.
Small Compact, plenty bright, perfect for attracting bait,
first arrival are smaller fry, then(cast-net or dip-net catch-able)medium to large bait-size glass,spot-tail minnows
And IMO the all around best live-bait= 'Good Ole' *Threadfin Shad* :) :)
Only used about 5-times, since "Purchased 12V 10.8W (180 LEDs- but didn't actually count, sorry...lol) 900 Lumen (green) on October 14, 2017"
First time was about 4 hours, 6 feet under water No leaks, but added silicone sealant after Justin Case or just for "Peace of Mind" :)
Next 4 uses, work great, no leaks or any issues of condensation or fogginess So givin 5 Stars
Cons: It doesn't catch fish...lol
Pros: Attract's small fresh-live bait, to catch... To catch bigger fresh-live fish, to make into fresh-fish tacos :)
Just what the doctors ordered, so yes would recommend to a Friend...
