Six months later, a second actuating switch failing exactly the same way. I'll take the sharp edges off the switch myself with this replacement, see if that works.
Installation of this equipment is normally very simple and straightforward, but mine was made significantly more difficult by the fact that I had to shorten all the pre-molded (attached and hard-wired) 36" DC output leads on both the dimmers and power supplies, in order to meet the installation parameters I had established for running all cabling through short cable channeling runs for a neat, professional looking installation and appearance. (Please note that shorter inter-connecting cables ARE available for "stringing" LEDS in series, but they were of little help in my installation, as I needed shorter switch/fader and power supply fixed leads). I do not recommend this home cable shortening approach unless you are an accomplished soldering expert with the proper equipment, and understand maintaining the DC voltage polarity when re-assembling the cabling!! It worked great for me, but your mileage may vary. We love the Lightkiwi products.
I bought the switch as a replacement. The original is on its last leg..... I am sure that it will last longer than the original one. KIWI are you listening?????
Take care not to short it out but the Company replaced mine with no hassles
Somewhat hard to hide under the upper kitchen cabinets
use STRONG double edge tape like Carpet Tape not 3m foam tape
if you hate small screws. There is a SURPLUS of wire leading in and out
which you will need to tuck up out of sight also - I used small clips with micro screws
but I suppose you could trap the wires between two layers of carpet tape.
