I had a similar cord I’ve used for a few years (shown on the left). It was attempting to replace it but this new one is much thinner (shown on right). Probably not even twisted wire. I’m sure this one will not last very long. The real issue with these knock off, low quality cables is improper charging rates. This is especially too thin for 6 ft cable

My wife is addicted to her i-Pad. She plays games, reads, and what ever else you do with an i-Pad. This put a strain on the standard power cord. I found these and got enough for travel, in the car, and at home.
I was pretty sure that the power connecter at the bottom of the i-Pad was in need of repar, which meant a new i-Pad. But this proved that the power cord was at fault. $400.00 saved is $400.00 left at home for. The first i-Pad she had developed the same problem while we were traveling, so a new one was indicated. When I got home, I installed a new power cable, and the problem of no charge was fixed. So this was my reasoning in ordering the right angle cable this time.

Had one in my car and used it periodically (maybe couple times a week) for a couple months. And then just plugged it to my phone and got the “water detected” in charging port… zero moisture in/on phone or cable and bright dry sunny day… then cable just stopped working. Plugged in an apple usbc to lightning cable to same connection and that one worked fine. Cleaned the faulty cord’s lightning connection per Apple instructions and still dead cable. Love the right angle connections, but angry just died with minimal use. I have maybe 20-30 misc lightning cables of various brands both usbA and usbc, and while I’ve had a few die after years of use, I’ve never had one just stop working that I barely used.

I bought a 2-pack about two months ago, and one of them has already crapped out. The piece that goes into the phone got loose and fell off (after it had started getting inconsistant on connecting with my phone to charge). The second one is still going, but I'm just waiting for it to break. Unfortunately this was literally the only USB-C to Lightening cable I find with the 90 degree turn, but I hope more become available soon.
