With great characters, an engaging storyline, a sweet romance, old friends, and a pet racoon named Oliver, Shanna Hatfield has crafted another heartwarming historical romance set in Baker City. When Delilah Robbins, a strong, intelligent woman comes to Baker City with her father, a meteorologist, the first person she meets is Dugan Durfey. Handsome, loyal, trustworthy and possessing a pair of blue eyes with long lashes, Dugan stole Delilah’s heart from his first hello. Unfortunately, Delilah has also caught the attention of Dugan’s best friend, Seth. While she thinks of one as the brother she always wished for, the other takes her breath away with his kisses.
Shanna Hatfield’s storytelling style is always a delight. Whether it be the food, costumes, current events of the times, or a garden in the middle of Baker City, her descriptions of sights, sounds, and aromas transport the reader to another time and place. The book included a unexpected plot twist that is quickly becoming a trademark of Shanna’s writing.
It was wonderful to catch up on all the old friends from Baker City as well as some new ones. P.S. I dearly hope Seth gets his HEA!
I received an ARC of this book and have given my honest review.
Shanna's books ALWAYS are fun. This one had me laughing out loud in a couple of places! LOVED IT!!!
