Format: Paperback
It is Shabbat and a little boy is visiting his grandparents. A snowstorm hits and the electricity goes out as soon as the Shabbat candles are lit, which is a surprise because it rarely snows in Georgia. As Shabbat progresses, the family doesn't let the fact that the lights are out cause them to miss out on spending valuable time together. When the nighttime moves into daytime the lights are still out but the little boy still enjoys what the day has brought...a lot of fun snow to play with and new toys to discover while the little boy is at grandma and grandpa's.

This book is made to be enjoyed by children ages 2-8. There are colorful illustrations throughout the entire book which bring the story alive. I noticed that even though the family did not have electricity they continued to enjoy their time together and possibly spent more time together than they would have if they had electricity. And I especially liked the timing for when the electricity came back on.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a free copy of this book from Kar-Ben Publishing. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

This is a fun read! A cute story about a child spending time with his grandparents and celebrating both the uniqueness of snow in Georgia and shabbat.
