However, I am a little confused. Based on the photos, the different colored mattresses are designed differently. I bought the grey one, and from the photos it appears to be a lower level? I'm not sure.. that's why I'm rating 4 instead of 5.
I'm not sure why people complain about the little pump that comes with it. It works very well. It can pump the bed hard, more than I find comfortable. Sure, it takes several minutes to fill it (3-4 is my guess, I didn't time it) but I don't see that to be a problem. I leave it running while I continue setting up the camp. I Inflated and deflated this mattress at least 5 times and one other twice using fresh batteries and they're nowhere near being exhausted.
I didn't find it noisy. There are no squeaks.
Overall rather pleased with this purchase.
The included bag is way too big. I used another bag I had laying around.
That said, the mattress rolls up relatively small. It fits two grown adults (male, late 20s; female early 20s - total weight a little over 300 lbs), and inflates quickly considering its size. The pump isn't the most powerful but considering that it runs on batteries is a huge plus. We don't have to worry about a power converter which is a very nice.
The carrying bag/case is much bigger than the mattress itself. We've put it to good use by rolling the mattress w/ flannel sheets (flat for tent floor, fitted for mattress) and it fills out nicely. The extra sheets also help with padding for storage of the pump which fits nicely as well.
We do not notice air loss after 2 nights camping in the Colorado mountains. Temps ranged from 35-75 degrees and we didn't notice any deflation. I will say that we tend to under-inflate initially so we don't put unnecessary stress on the seams but this is a very well-built mattress so unless you're jumping on it, moving around shouldn't cause any issues.
As an additional test of sorts, I inflated the mattress upon receipt to what my wife and I felt was a comfortable firmness. We then laid on it for a few minutes every day for a full week while leaving some heavy books throughout the rest of the day and night. We did not notice any air loss or deflation whatsoever.
We have not used this mattress is very cold weather. Even when it gets below 40 degrees, it's only a few hours late at night so I can't speak to it's very cold weather use.
Overall, would absolutely recommend for anyone looking to avoid a cot or individual sleeping pads and want a bit of added support and comfort.
