Great pants in many ways but stain easily

I bought these pants primarily for a summer hiking/road trip to the desert. I wanted something cool, quick drying, fashionable, and functional. These were really great! I wore them during all day car trips comfortably and alternated then with some more expansive North Face pants while hiking. Now that I'm back from my trip I wear these often just as a casual day pant. I also wore them on an airplane trip and appreciated the fact that I could be comfy but not too frumpy, and I like being able to zip my ID into my pocket. I also am impressed by the color options available,I purchased the sage green looking ones and really like the shade.Now for the not as great stuff:The material is polyester and spandex I think. It's that kind of material that the smallest spot shows up as a stain, even water. The stains are kind of faint and some wash out in the laundry, but after a month and a half now if I look closely I can pick out faint stains that have remained.I also had to order these twice. The first pair that arrived smelled very very strong, maybe like laundry soap or perfume? I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances and it made me sick. It was so bad I had to put the packaging and pants outside until I could return them. I really wanted these pants, though so I took the chance that it was a one-off thing and ordered them again. The new pair arrived without any crazy smell! So I just returned the stinky ones. I assume the first ones were worn/washed and returned and I got them which bugs me. But it worked out, just would have been better if I didn't have to deal with that

Now for the not as great stuff:
