I liked this book but I didn't love it like I did the original series with Rush & Blaire & Cage & Eva.
Nate & Bliss are the perfect combination of their parents. Nate is super hot in bed like his Dad & is sweet in nature like his Mum. Bliss is honest like her Dad & caring like her Mum.
Their story was going along quite nicely when a total curveball was thrown at them & then it snowballed.
I thought the ending was rushed and didn't quite flow right but otherwise I liked it. I also would've loved an epilogue.
I'm interested to see where and how far this next generation series will go.
Bliss just moved in with her best friend Eli Harding. Her family worried about her and they liked having her at home. But she was ready to start living as an adult and try to experience normal life. She just didn't expect to ever see Nate Finlay again. She grew up with parents that truly loved each other and their children. She wants to have what her parents have one day. The cancer took her ability to have children one day but she wants to adopt because she knows she would love that child or children anyways.
Nate really cared about Bliss and never understood why she stopped answering him. He just thought his imagination pretty much made her up. When he sees her again, he sees a wonderful girl turned into a woman. He pretends to not remember her to try to save himself and not let her know how much she had meant to him. He's convinced himself that he couldn't handle real love. He sees his parents and knows that if something ever happens to his mother than his father wouldn't survive without her. He grew up with family love but he doesn't think he can handle real love. He likes being with Octavia because he thinks its easy and if something happened to her it wouldn't ruin him.
I didn't think that Nate was good enough for Bliss. I wanted to really feel him WANT Bliss and it was honestly just missing from almost all of the book. Bliss just seemed like kind of a pushover... she practically begged Nate to give them a chance when she shouldn't of had to. Book left off at a weird place but I'm expecting this to probably be two parts.
