Ms. Hardt has a way of writing that makes me forget I'm reading a book. It's more like slipping into a world she created and getting lost for a while.- Tiger Lily, Whipped Cream Reviews
"You know when you find an absolute gem of a read that stays with you, days after you've finished it. This book is that gem." (Bare Naked Words)
The writing was fast paced, and HOT for an historical romance…with lots of chemistry between Daniel and Lily, and lots of fun on Lily’s part! There was the requisite drama, well played out. The characters were full of fun, laughter, mischief and of course some hot sexy! - Bound by Books --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Top Customer Reviews
I'm not going to go over the plot, as other reviews have done so.
I just want to say that this book was incredibly romantic, very sexy, and very enjoyable to read. Most notable is the fact that the author has created two extremely appealing lead characters. The hero is to die for-- what can I say-- he is probalby the hottest hero I've read in ages. Gorgeous, sexy, strong, intelligent, sensitive, a bit naughty, but really, really good to the heroine (in many ways, wink). I think it would be impossible for any woman NOT to fall madly in love with him (I know I did!).
More surprising is the heroine. So well drawn, so multi-faceted. Interesting, intelligent, funny, empathetic, good-hearted but still naughty, sexy, daring and beautiful (If I were a guy, I'd fall in love with her!). As a reader, you really want these two to be together and be happy, and you feel that they are worthy of each other. You feel them falling in love, and it's wonderful.
It makes a nice change from so many books I've read lately where the heroines are absolutely awful: either too stupid for words, or selfish, or silly, shallow, vapid, promiscuous, etc. Where I think "there is no way on earth the H would ever have fallen in love with that awful girl."
So Helen Hardt, kudos on your book. (there's only one small thing that slightly bothered me- there were a couple of medical things in the book that sounded very implausible-- perhaps author should have researched that a bit).
It's not common for books about this period in English history to be filled with erotic events and sex. The description were perfect and I could visualize myself there.
Great story, good solid writing and an Author to follow.
