Ok, for all intensive purposes, this is as straightforward as it get's when it comes to backdrops. Like other reviewers the first things I noticed about this is that the stands are pretty flimsy. Fortunately for me I have a couple of leftover lowel light stands that I swapped out and worked fine. They give you 4 top bars with is great if you want some separation and you have the room, but even with three, the backdrops don't go all the way across so I assume it's a "spare".
All of the backdrops came folded which means there were these lovely creases in them that I have no idea how long it will take to come out so I was considering tossing them in the dryer for 10-15 minutes. Perhaps they should have rolled them for transport. That's what I'll be doing. There's no kind of instruction or direction that comes with this so I have no idea if these backdrops are even dryer safe. Fortunately it doesn't take a genius to figure out how it all goes together so not a major issue regarding some instructions.
The clamps were decent, does that they're supposed to do. I have a box of old clothes pins handy for gels and such so those are great to have handy as well.
Now that all the negative is out of the way, let's talk it up. If you add a little bit of weights to the stands, they're pretty durable. If you're planning on just keeping this in one location, this is a pretty solid kit. Now if you have to take it with on for mobile shoots, etc. you may find that the screws for the stands may break as they are plastic, not metal so use caution in that scenario. It came with 2 backdrops for each color, one with the holes to hang on the pole, and another one without holes which look like they should be hung in front or over it. Perhaps this helps with the transparency issue.
I haven't done any test shots as of yet, but in all honesty, this seems like it will do the trick and for the cost, you can't go wrong. I will probably upgrade the backdrops at some point, but for now this should do the trick.

I will start my review by declaring that I am an amateur and that photography seemed like it I may be a fun hobby to dabble in. I ordered this set because it was pretty dang cheap, and I am happy with what I received. Three separate backdrops which are made of a thin but tightly woven fabric, they remind me of bedsheets. They came quite wrinkled, but a quick spin in the dryer fixed the wrinkles. The frame that holds up the fabric was easy to assemble and is height adjustable. The con is that the frame is quite flimsy and not very sturdy. That being said, if you are aware that it is flimsy and compensate for it you will probably be OK. If there was one feature that I could add, I would make this frame width adjustable, as it is a little too long for my space and also a little too wide for the backdrop that were included. I may end up having my hubby help me shorten the bars. I am happy with my purchase though I did not invest much, and it should be enough to get me started and get a little experience with photography.
