Linda Fulkerson was born into a family of readers and learned at a young age to love books. She became interested in writing while working as a copywriter and typesetter for a small town newspaper. Linda's first book, The Prodigal Daughter, was published in 2002, and it was at that time she was introduced to the world of book marketing and blogging.
Blogging was in its infancy then, and many of Linda's author friends were being told by publishers and agents to start blogs, but most of them didn't know how. Because she had already begun a successful blog, a lot of her friends turned to her for blogging advice, and she became a blog coach and marketing consultant. As her blogging expertise grew, Linda launched a blog about blogging called, "On Blogging Well," a take from the classic book, On Writing Well, by William Zinsser.
Linda loves to travel and has visited 47 states and lived in 11. While living in Texas, she was hired as an online editor for a newspaper but was quickly asked to develop a digital services department. She worked as the director of digital services for the largest media group in Central Texas for two years before returning to her home state of Arkansas in 2013, where she launched her own company, DLF Digital Services LLC, which specializes in helping small businesses develop an effective online presence.
In the spring of 2014, Linda received what she called a "God nudge" to use her experience and skills to help Christian writers and speakers learn to be better marketers. She launched a website, MarketingForChristianWriters.com, which offers a variety of free and premium training resources for Christian writers and speakers.
